Why do you think Honda, Acura spent so many years improving upon their chassis instead of switching the drivetrain to RWD for circuit?
I can understand why you hate ricers, and why you like RWD/AWD over FWD. But come on, don’t bash if you don’t have sensible reasons to back it up. Just suck it up, and move on.

What would you own, a RWD Buick Roadmaster, or an Acura Legend. There’s several variables, not just drivetrain.
And if someone wants to make their FWD car better, then good for them. I’m indoctrinated with the RWD>FWD, I do own a 240 after all lol, but being subjective, its not that big of a deal. My uncle’s 96 Camry V6 is fun as hell to drive. Light, powerful, and handles great. FFS it has less body roll than my 240, and feels more stable in bumpy turns…plus NO fear of unexpected oversteer in the rain. lollll

Not to mention that many sanctioning rally bodies mandate that you start with a FWD car, and at the very least every true rally enthusiast will recommend it as well.

It’s true, face the facts that FWD is the worse drive for sporty driving and pure handling and traction.
AWD or RWD, FWD is shit. It’s good in a family car but otherwise, unless your honda and a few others with their type R’s, then it’s severally handicapped in the longrun.

i agree with hacknik, FWD cars are severely underestimated, i know more than enough FWD cars that could give some of the cars on the boards a run for their money.

People need to stop getting so serious…I already mentioned that I can appreciate FWD, especially a properly tuned, tastefully modded FWD car. I know FWD is huge in rally, but where I was going is that I only enjoy driving AWD/RWD cars. I’m sure there are a few FWD cars that I’d enjoy driving, but I just couldn’t ever be bothered to buy one.
Yes, I think I’d have more fun in my Kouki than a Probe. And “not everyone can afford these serious cars” – of course not. That’s why I bought a 240. Sure I’d love to have a GT3, sure I’d love to have even an RX-7, but I can’t afford those. Point is, the guy who bought/souped up that Probe, could have afforded a 240sx I’m sure.
I was also never saying my car is faster than any FWD car or anything of the like. I’m sure there are a TON of FWD cars that would destroy my Kouki at the track. I’m also sure they spent quite a bit of money, money that I personally would have spent on a RWD/AWD platform.
And yeah, my steelies are lime green (on one side) – call me a ricer, I just like the contrast and colour scheme. I can see how its tacky to many, but its my car so whatever. It was my winter rims, and I was bored.

Only thing I like about the probe is how the door handles are postioned on the side of the door, looks clean
And what rear bumper is that/ lip? I know those are Navan sides but I cant say ive ever seen that rear? Molded JDM Kouki bumper and valences maybe?

I love how you’re trying to be “different” but at the same time you’re trying to copy someone elses car. You really should put on some stock unpainted S14 wheels, you’re just giving all S14s a bad reputation around here.

Clearly the TE37’s are 1000x nicer, cleaner, and functional. I just sprayed my wheels for fun – and that’s just it, FUN. As someone into photography, I thought it made for interesting photos. I wasn’t trying to “compare” my setup to the Takata green TE37’s – I was comparing the colour scheme/contrast…but whatever.
I really don’t think I’m giving S14’s a bad reputation, and those are my WINTER (yes I have to drive it in the winter) wheels. I’ve ordered some tires and MB Battles from Samson, and when I get those the steelies will be gone.
I really don’t see how I’m as bad as that Probe. The Probe had a bodykit and spoiler on it, both non-functional, and both ugly. Sure my steelies might be ugly to most people, but I spent $5 on spraying them, and they don’t pretend to give me some performance edge that I don’t have.
And yes, my car is mostly stock, no it’s not over 200 HP (probably not even close to 200 RWHP), but I’ve driven my fair share of cars over 200 HP. I was never trying to pretend that:
a) My S14 is super amazing
b) My S14 is faster than that Probe or other FWD cars
c) My green steelies are takata green TE37’s
d) I’m the best driver in the world because I have RWD
e) I’m super cool because I have a Kouki and not a Probe
I just have a passion for driving, and enjoy RWD and AWD. I sprayed my wheels because I like it, was never pretending I had Volks or that my car has 700 HP. I used to own that Sil80 that was sold to Mark and then NateDrake, and I’ve driven many other cars including an S13 with a CA w/ Disco Potato, a Stealth TT, S13 with an SR, an F355 Spyder, WRX, and various other RWD and AWD cars. I’m not a ricerfanboy or someone who pretends to be the worlds best driver, or have the fastest car. It just pisses me off to see people spend money on FWD sports cars, when RWD is so much better (again just my opinion).
Anyways, I’ll shut up and stop posting ricer photos, and hopefully the steelies will be coming off soon.
