Some chick hit my 240 when it was parked on the street… ill probably be lookin for a 240 as a project car down the road… just purchased myself a 2002 acura rsx type-s w\54,000km under warranty loaded with every option imaginable… i’m going to miss 240s but i have somethin a lot better now.
wait. i think i missed the part outlining what thatsomething better was. a ferrari perhaps?

It’s not the greatest thing on earth. But it’s definitely better than an RSX. I see about 30 of those daily.
Sorry to hear that Adam. Hopfully you can start on a 240sx project soon. At least you a new car that shouldnt give you much trouble. Its a better car anyways (stock form) and very respectable.

you guys have obviously never been in and/or driven an rsx type-s… stock for stock… faster, handles better and is definitely a way better interior with tons of more options… not to mention 6SPD and 8K redline!!! I will admit exterior… 240 > type-s… but dont compare my new car to a regular rsx when mechnically it’s much better… everything about an rsx type-s is superior to a 240… 240 can compare with a BASE rsx… not type-s.
edit: oh and out of all the cars i drove… A4, 328ci, etc… the rsx-S was definitely a better performing car… steering is so responsive like a 240!!!
Well comparing a stock 2002 RSX to a stock 1989 240sx is a little unfair, don’t ya think? 
Stock cars have come a long way since then. Anyways, I’m sure its a damn sweet ride, the Type-S is pretty sick.
I’m not knocking 240s… i used to own one and it’s probably my first true love, lol… and i’d still have one if some dumb ass bi-tch didnt write mine off. Just saying some of you guys think 240s are better than they really are… get out there and drive some more expensive cars and you will change your mind. I definitely would take a 240sx over a base rsx, no question… but there about equal from a performance stand point.

I’m with you on the RWD > FWD… but I don’t really drift… I’m going to miss the nice launches though. And about the GTR instead… I won’t be gettin such a new GTR or a GTR under warranty at that price… so it’s really not practical…

it’s really funny, all you guys who are ripping on fwd, first off you all are bandwagon jumpers if you were in the import scene before the 240 became popular 3 years ago.
Secondly the ONLY thing a fwd car can’t do better than a 240 is drift. Look at any number of FWD cars at the drags, NA civic’s running 12’s…love to see a 240 here run a mid 12…handleing? most people here with suspension upgrades can out handle a FWD car, but then again most people here just buy a set of coilovers slap them on and have massive amounts of understeer anyways.
good luck man, our s13’s are rusted out pos anyways, you’ll save yourself so much agrivation by the switch.

rsx type S or just regular RSX are both better than a stock s13…
but a sr powered, coilovered, pimpin wheeled S13 will still cost $8000 less than a new RSX and will spank it in eveyrthing but fuel economy.
but yeah, stock for stock the RSX is much better, and i’d love to have one for a daily driver.
