I bought a Chevy

You thinking of getting a brand different truck? What did your old dodge get for mileage?

Keeping off the loud petal is the hard part, I’d expect 30 as well if I took a trip with it, but this is mostly around town/little bit of highway.

I bought the same truck as yours brand new 2011.

Computer shows me getting 16.8 with a cover.

And 8 foot bed.

For what ever reason they seem real good at first then the mileage drops. When i got mine under 20k on it got 16.x regularly now with 30k on it down at 14ish ive heard it from a few ppl happening like that.

You should do a E85 test and see what kind of mpg results you get.

Old dodge got 11

13.0 right now. Ordering up intake and cat back. Needs oil change too. Still haven’t tried the e85 but I’m under a quarter tank and I’ll fill it up w the new fuel to see what it does.

How’s everyone else doing?

My dad has one he tried e85 and it didn’t make a difference, same with 89 and 91, other then that hes now getting about 17mpg. He’s going to try a intake and exhaust also…

13!? That isn’t very good lol My truck just flipped 170K miles and still averages 14-17 normal 17-19 highway. 4.8L leaved crew cab 2wd with 33’s. I log every single time I fill up.

I recently drove a 12’ suburban on a 100 mile road trip…14mpg on the highway.

I did some tests with driving habits for period of times. Over a 2 week period (colder weather) I was at around 16.5-17.5 average (avg as in over a whole tank of gas) with light acceleration, more coasting to stops, etc. I drive on the thruway 20 miles commuting to and from work. (total trip is about 26 miles/day).
Before that, and right now I currently drive somewhat agressively, and I’m around 15-15.5 consistently.

I’ve heard doing just 5 over on the thruway will kill your gas mileage compared to going the speed limit, so I tried it and there was definitely a difference with the cruise set on 55.

JT let me know what cat back and intake you ordered and what results you see, good or bad. Been thinking about getting an exhaust this summer.

I have a 2011 Silverado crew cab with the 5.3. I have a Volant cold air (the best per Vengeance Racing)intake a Magnaflow cat back. I put a 2 1/2 to 3 inch lift and 22 wheels on it. I had New Era tune it. They were impressed with the numbers. I picked up 60 something horse off the tune. It wasn’t running well after the cold air intake until the tune. I get roughly 14-16 per gallon.

14.9 with mine now.

17.6 here. Averaged from October until now. I should pick up at least 1mpg when it starts to get warmer out. I can hit 21-22 on the thruway easily. Joe-if you went to a taller tire your mph will read a little lower which would make it seem like your mileage is a little lower as well, unless you account for it with a tune.

Correction I get 14 mpg not 13. My typo. Sorry.

Filling up w true e85 on lunch so see if there’s more power and why kinda mileage it will produce

This is why I’m looking for more power. Lol

Joy mobster why Volant and not air rad? Seems like both are being used by everyone

Getting beat by a :greddy2: in a stock convertible has to suck lol.

I have 33" tires, exhaust, intake, and a blackbear tune. mph was only off 2-3 mph @ 60 before the tune, and it was adjusted for the tires. I average 14.5/15 by the computer. I go through 30-40 gallons a week…
