Whenever you fill out a quote for insurance online, NEVER give any of your accidents or previous tickets, etc.
Those get included in your quote and policy price, regardless of whether they have it on your DMV record or not!
I was fighting with them for a month when a few years ago, I switched to Geico. They had duplicate tickets and accidents on my record because my dates were off!
Just get the initial quote and let them re-quote the price with the information they end up getting. Geico didn’t know about an accident and 2 tickets I had after I redid my policy without giving them any information!
I pay barely $630 for 6 months on my speed6 for full coverage with the low deductibles.
I was right around there too, $562/month for the ms6. The actual prices came yesterday in the mail, I’ll be paying only $325/6m for the speed6 and $250/6m for the mini-van. 100/300 with $500 ded, married 29 no accidents no tickets.
I just have to decide whether I want to add the multi-accident forgiveness and deductable reduction thing where they reduce your deductable $100 per year of no claims. It’s like $50/6m extra for both cars. What do you guys think would you add it…???
Obv you can not state the info on the quote, when they run the license they’ll update the quote to whatever has been attached to your record.
IOW, the $234536 ticket you got last week may not be on there now. When it hits your record, and the Ins Co runs the license again (at least once/year update), your rate will reflect it.
Oh, and I pay:
Homeowners: $650 / year
Auto: $1500 / yr for full coverage on (3) vehicles. No blemishes in at least 5 years.
Way back when, I was paying $3800 / yr for a Grand Am GT. carrying 10-11 pts and one fender bender. :mamoru:
