ok…im awesome at this…you dont need a lawyer…all court isgunna tell you to do is pay the fines…TRUST ME…ive gone through this soooooo many times a couple years ago when i was stupid(cheektowaga, amherst, springville, west seneca, and hamburg)…just go to court and pay the fine, thats all there gunna have you do…you could even go and pay the fines b4 your court date to show the judge you are "responsible’…was ur liscence suspended or did u just have as bench warrent for not paying it

the problem is that i used to get in trouble a lot when i was younger… i have like 8 pts on my license right now… and i haven’t got a ticket in almost a year, obviously.

no license = no job, no job = moving back home… and that would suck sooo bad.
thankfully, it was on my way back from my last delivery. i had all the money for the whole night in my pocket. luckly the people i work with are fuckin awesome and sent a kid i work with over to collect it. they did all my closing work and the owner is not going to find out about this.

nobody asked the most important question of all… what were the tickets for?

Dont bother with any other advice people give you.
These are not critical tickets where you need a lawyer. The one that is is “Driving with a Suspended License” which is exactly what you have. This is a misdemeanor. They suspend your license when you do not answer tickets. When you go back for your first court date the judge will tell you to CLEAR UP your license before he deals with the “driving while Suspended” charge. You will have to come back to court again AFTER you pay for or resolve the 2 old tickets you got.
The smartest thing to do at this point is to take care of the 2 old tickets BEFORE you go back to court. If there isnt time call the court and ask to postpone you appearance. A reasonable amount of time to ask for is 3 weeks. If you clear up your license before you go back this will make you look very good in the courts eyes. It shows responsibility… You will not need a lawyer and they will be willing to reduce the charge to something stupid.
My advice to you is get the court date BEFORE christmas. The judge and the DA are in good spirits before Christmas and tend to HOOK people up.
When you pay off your 2 old tickets you MUST bring proof of payment (receipts from the other court) to you appearance. You will also have to pay a $35 Suspension Lift fee. You will also need proof of this payment. Go to DMV and ask for a “License Abstract” a day or 2 after you ahve payed the 2 tickets. This is a printout of your license convictions. Bring it to court buy do not offer it unless they ask for it. If its reasonable good then you can offer it with the receipts.
When you go into court you need to go up to the clerk who sits next to the judge and tell her you would like to “check in”. She marks you as “present”. You then go and stand in line to talk to the District Attorney. You will be on line for quite some time. The DA looks over your paperwork and gives you a deal. This is the guy you have to give your sad story to. Tell him you moved and did not update your license address… you forgot about the tickets because of all the things that were going on, ect. Make it good but dont sound like a bullshitter. Once he verifies you payed your 2 tickets and your license in no longer suspended (by the proof you brought) he will address the charge you got arrested for and reduce it to “passing a stop sign” or something. If the deal is shitty the politely say something like “could you please help me out”… I can barely afford my insurance as it is, ect.
The DA writes your deal down on the paperwork and asks you to go sit in the courtroom. You wait for the judge to call your name. He may ask you a few questions, just be polite and honest. When you answer a question say “Yes, your honor”. this shows respect and that you are not some tool. The judge will give you a reduced fine. Thats it.
Dress well but dont overdo it with a suit and shit… that makes one look like they are kissing ass.

…like jack said…you dont need a lawyer for the original tickets. if your liscence was suspended…you have an aggrivated unliscenced operation of a motor vehicle ticket…they will tell you to get a lawyer…
town court will tell you to clear up ur liscence(pay your fines in ur case) then come back…for the most part depending what town it was in they will reduce it to a “facilitating unliscenced operation” ticket(a violation) which carries a minimum 200 dollar fine 65 dollar surcharge and you wont need a lawyer…
again like jack said…What town did this happen in? and what exactly were u arrested for? cause i know in hamburg and west seneca they dont suspend ur liscence…they issue a bench warrent like they did for me, elma, amherst and cheektowaga suspend ur liscence

Jammy! I just talked to my Criminal Justice teacher and he said you probably won’t need a lawyer, but it never hurts. He said you’re probably just going to have to pay the tickets and go on your way.

funny thing, it got reduced to failing to change my adress on my lisense. they scheduled me driving school and parking tickets. but i got drunk and never went to driving school. so now i think my lisence is suspended again…
