I mean everytime i go to the states, especially southern areas, i see shit tons of sick old cars. Mustangs, first gen Celicas, 510s, and it sucks because i never see any thing but the occasional garage queen domestic around here.
i like old cars, theyre so much more personable then new shit, and keep in mind im considering 240s to be new by comparison.
Calcium Magnesium Acetate is the best alternative to using sodium chloride. It is used basically on airport runways, military bases, and naval ships. Doesn’t trap moisture in snow than resolidfy the way salt does, does not errode concrete/asphalt, no ecological/vegetative damage and greatly reduced oxidation. With the money they could save in undamaged vegetation and reconstruction of public roads/bridges they could afford it.
Take off the funny mods and build that car into a sleeper, and I’m with you there man that is one beautiful car. And I have never seen one in real life up here in Canada. I wish they would start using something different then salt on the roads. but lets face it the government cares very little about that. Thank about it you buying a new car every 10 years gives the government more money through taxes. As well Canada has a lot of roads so the government saves money on using salt and makes more money cos we all have to buy new cars way more often then people down south. Government wont give that up unless its going to cost votes.
But you make that petition and really get the word out there… and I’ll sign it too. Because every person that owns a car should hate salt, and every environmentalist that doesn’t should hate it more. So not a lot of people left after that to like it.
There is one just restored on some 14" meshies in Scarborough. I see it every time I go down there, even stopped to ask the guy if he’d sell his Corona but gave an decisive no.
