If the clutch is slipping, could there be anyother undlying problems?

I am looking at a 1998 Altima 231 000KMs, haven’t tested it yet. But from whats been said the only problem is the clutch. Could this lead to other big problems? I barely have any car repair experience, but have most tools and willing to learn, would this be a safe gamble? (hoping to pay 900-1000 for it) I was going to buy a clutch kit and replace it.

Any input would be appreciated.

bought one of these… replaced the clutch… car served me for 50 000km without any major problems. i bought mine cert/etested for 1200 and replaced the clutch with a exedy off of ebay for like $130. cheap good car.

there are seals on both sides of the clutch assembly

rear engine seal
tranny input shaft seal…

may not be exact names, but I have had a tranny input seal require replacing.,.
