If you could choose right now, would you NOT be into cars?

nah, i love putting a car together. Sure it’s probably not the smartest thing for me to do right now, but it keeps me busy and hopefully i can really put this CRX together and make myself proud of it when im done.

i voted yes just because i wouldn’t wanna be how i am now…way to large a % of my income goes into cars…and way too much time for a college student is devoted to working on them and learning about them (and posting here).

Realistically though i just wish i had gotten into them later in life…i was 17 when i started getting into cars big time…and no 17 year old has the time or money to really have such a hobby…if i could, i would have waited til now to get into it…i’m now graduating from college, and if i hadn’t gotten into them back then, i’d actually have a nice savings account as a security blanket if i were to get into an expensive hobby now, but since i didn’t wait…i’m still pretty much living paycheck to paycheck…i do have money put away, but it’s money i really am not supposed to touch (from grandparents and such) that is for buying a house or paying for grad school…

I slowed down this year compared to years past, but my car is over the hump of things I wanted to do to it. There is still a long list, but its not like it was three years ago when it was virtually stock.

I don’t want to rent forever and it’ll be nice to have a house to mod!!

But with that said, I would never take the pill.

No pill for me thanks. I may not be into it as much as many of you are now, but I was was neck deep into it at one time. Interest in cars seems to follow a pattern of other interests in life. Once you’ve had it, it can never really go away completely. Cars are like women, we’re stuck with them, and we love it.

I love the knowledge of being mechanically inclined, but im getting sick of NEEDING 3 vehicles for me to be happy. I need a fast car, a offroad jeep, and now with gas prices im looking for a good DD.

Why cant i just be the average american and have 1 or MAYBE 2 cars and be happy driving them stock and spending the rest of my money on who knows what wheneven i want and not worry about that one part i just broke or that thing that’ll make me faster/more trail ready.

I voted yes because i blew and regretted spending money on my car, i just wish i would have spent it on a bike

I was into cars for ever. I got out for like 1.5 years and now that Im back I realized being out sucked. I do spend so much more money again but I always have someting to do.

if i could control my spending (i want to buy a house someday, lol) that would make me more comfortable.

but hell, i love it, and i can afford it now so, im going to have fun. i just need to be happy with where im at, and just let it be…

Cars used to be a main priority for me, but now they are secondary. I’m more insterested in getting a house and having other things instead of just mods for my car. I wont have a car with thousands of dollars in mods, but it will be nice and I’m comfortable with that. Too much other stuff going on to only focus on cars…which is almost as bad as I used to be.

I wish i got a different platform to build.

It could be worse, I spend WAYY more money going out with girls than I ever could have if I invested them into my car/jeep.

i lost it until i can afford an '05 NSX

to me everything else is mcshit

I voted no, for a few reasons.

For starters, I’ve always loved cars, and as a kid, I only dreamed about owning the cars I now have. It’s nice to be able to look out in your yard, and say you achieved some things you’ve always wanted.

But much more importantly, I have met some AMAZING people through the car scene. Starting at a young age, I was welcomed into the Lotus community, owners would take me for rides, and even let me drive their cars, it was unbelievable. Then later on, in around 01-02, with UBRF, I met some tremendous friends/peers that I still deal with on a daily basis now. I’ve really met an amazing core of people through the car scene.

And based on all that, I wouldn’t even think about changing my vote.

If I just bought a $5k car for my first car, and kept it. I’d probably, wait, scratch that. I WOULD have a dope ass down payment for a house right now.

I’ve spent so much on cars, not even modding them, just buying them and selling. Not nearly as much as some people on here though.

I’d like to grow up and get out of the tunner car scene and just buy a autotragic Mercedes sedan, and a pickup truck and call it a day.
I don’t know what else I’d spend my money on… Probably spend it all on clothes and shoes:cocktease:

when i think of all the wasted money, ya i would deffinitly choose to pick a different hobby

i have done pretty good giving up the car scene. i talk about getting something to mod, or modding my bimmer but then i like snap out of it. but idk

im down to travel chris n.

I said no if it wasnt for cars i dont have a clue what i would be doing with my self. I really am not to good with other things rather then being a mechanic/ car driver. I cant do music i dont care to travel unless its to a race track, hate reading, cant just sit around and watch tv movies with out doing something during.

But i guess if i wasn’t into cars i would be living in my own house right now which would be a plus but my day would consist of work coming home and doing house like stuff which does not interest me right now.

Where is the “I’m not really into cars” option? I have a small interest in cars so I guess I’ll just vote no.
