I'm buying an LS1

when i can afford one :greddy: but i’m not leaving it in a god awful looking chevy :kekegay: here’s what i want http://www.renegadehybrids.com/LS-1/ls1conversionkit.html what do you thing???

you can also do a LT1 swap but the hood won’t fit the carb so you have to make a scoop or buy hood with a cowl from them.

I REAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLy want to do this. i’m so into 944s but they all have so many miles on them and the repairs would cost a ton. this would be a FUN ASS CAR, 12-13s with porsche handling… they say the weight distribution is only off 1-2%

that would be kinda cool. do it

neat

throw it in a 914. there’s always a renegade v8 on ebay.

would it fit in a 914? i thought the engines were in the back…and they r small cars

Porsche handling… why would you want that!?! :jerkit:
I regularly beat Boxter Ss and 991s at the AutoX. Though I’ll admit the highly modded GT2 owns me. :frowning:

I totally agree that’d be a sick swap!!! I’ve been thinking about a LS1 E36 for some time. And I have a few buddies w/ LS1 RX7s. I say go for it.

they have done alot of 914s from what i’ve read but i’m really not feeling the looks, call me a ricer, but if i’m dropping several thousand i want the looks to go with the engine (hence the jab at the chevy guys in my first post :stick:  )

sweet lt1

ok porsche looks with chevy power is what i’m really after… you caught me :tounge:

Kinda reminds me of an LS1 swapped miata I saw on ebay a while back. :hitit:

Dear God please leave off the lame ass hood scoops.

as far as V8 converisons go…
i’d rather have a MG with ford V8 conversion but thats just me.

yeah, that’s one of the reasons i like the LS over the LT, it fits with the stock hood

Besides LS1 >> LT1 in so many ways. Weight being one of them. My buddy’s RX7 LS1 swap came out lighter w/ the LS1 and T56.

I’d rock a LS1 FD3S. That shit has to be fun.

they say the weight is less than 1.5% with the LS or around 2% with the LT, but i’m not sure if that was in a 911 or 944 swap, i jsut remember the %s. i just think it’s a cool, reasonably priced swap that will save you way way more money in repairs than it costs to do the intial swap. :boink
