All I have to say, is why should I pay taxes and they shouldnt. Equal right for all, then we should ALL pay taxes. Thats like the legal Immigrants from the middle east how can come over here, they get like $10k and don’t have to pay taxes for 10 years, they start up a convienience store, and when their 10 years are up, they bring their cousin in so they don’t have to pay taxes for another 10 years. Where the hell is my $10k and 10 year break on taxes, dammit. I’ve paid my dues and hell, I was born here. So basically we americans are being punished for being born here. Again, if I have to pay taxes, everyone should.
First off I’m with Jeg on a lot of his points. My dad is an immigrant, he came here legally and became a citizen. Everyone that comes to this country should do the same thing.
I have sympathy for the situation in Mexico but in all honesty thats Mexico’s problem.
It took us years to get the labor laws passed here in this country that protects workers, what rights do immigrants have?
Also, there are plenty of jobs that illegals are taking that americans would do. Such as construction jobs.
As far as english is concerned, if you live in an area that can function just fine with spanish more power to you. But if you live in a mostly english speaking area you should learn the language.
Personally I think everyone should learn atleast two languages anyway.

The only way you are going to stop illegal immigration is if you change the laws about being born in the US makes you a citizen. The come here to have their kids and don’t care if they ever become a citizen.
i agree just go the leagal way or get the hell out. english is the language here and if you dont like that dont come to me and try to ask me a question at work and get pissed off because we dont have someone to translate. you pay taxes or you go to jail… but if your not legal you should not be allowed in our jails. i dont mind the gov. giving tax cuts and a helping hand to true american immagrents that did it the correct way and are trying to better their lives, i think that is great. they most likely will need a helping hand to get started and this will just help us out in the long run because they will be able to support themself and family and contribute back later on in life. BUT THIS SHOULD ONLY BE FOR PEOPLE WHO USE THE CORRECT PATH INTO OUR NATION!

I’m actually scared that people aren’t learning languages other than English in America. Some very very very important science breakthroughs have been among people that are from different countries but can speak eachother’s language.
We’re becoming a 3rd world nation when it comes to math and science.
I was listening to NPR the other morning and a caller said, “I want my kids to learn English BEFORE they learn spanish!”
Although it may actually be easier at the younger age. And I’m sure their English isn’t taking a back seat (well it was Florida, so it’s possible).
Actually, many companies are finding that if they can speak Spanish to their customers, they can do quite well for themselves. It’s not that the people can’t speak English, but they’re more comfortable being explained things like taxes and insurance in their own language.
I firmly believe that If you are an American, you should learn english first and formost…then if you want to learn spanish or something.
if you are afraid of loosing you job to an illegal immigrant, get a fucking education, since you know most of them are going to be blue collar get a white collar job. or move to pakistan

Put business owners who employ illegal immigrants in jail for 3 years min./max for a FIRST offense and double it every other one and get rid of 100% of the jobs offered to illegal immigrants. And don’t bother with a trial or any of that bullshit to eat up time or tax money. If you are caught with an illegal immigrant working for you, THAT DAY you start your 3 years. Say goodbye to your kids from behind a plexiglass plate. And I mean ANY worker, gardener, water boy, house cleaner, someone handing a guy a fucking nail on a worksite for $3/hr. DONE.
Oh and while you’re at it, SAME FINE GOES FOR ANYONE PAYING ANYONE WORKING OFF THE BOOKS. AND IF THE PERSON WORKING OFF THE BOOKS IS A US CITIZEN, 3 YEARS. DONE. Becuase lets face it, if you’re pissed about these people working tax free and getting perks of being in the US you should be tripple pissed at US Citizens who do the same. That goes for DJs, Bartenders, Bouncers, landscaping, etc…You wanna pay little johnny down the street $20 a week to mow your grass, get out the paperwork and file that shit or say hello to your new house, it’s 6 x 9… Don’t throw fucking stones, after all…

But is not only the Illegal Immigrants that are taking advantage/support for free healthcare/food/social programs, etc…US Citizen ( whites, blacks, yellows, reds and blues ) they do it also. So dont blame it all to them. I fucking hate this motherfuckers getting all this benefits and not doing shit for themselves or for our country…just seating on their lazy asses.
A lot of this Immigrants that come to the US for a “better life” are getting shitty jobs picking up fruit for 5 cents an hour…c’mon who is going to do that?..some people are trying to get better jobs but is harder for them…so it is very dumb to come to the states illegally…do it the legal way…fuck!
I came from Puerto Rico in 1999 and I was a US citizen since the day I was born…I came here went to college, learned the language, but personally I think everyone should learn atleast two languages anyway…Now I have a decent job and I get paid more than anyone else at my office…why? because I’m BILINGUAL.
