In god we trust... the patriots can get f#cked...

I was just forwarded an email. it made me laugh.
OH, the eagle was supposed to be animated, but i just did print screen.
DISCUSS:

damn u newman i just sat there for a 30 seconds waiting for something to happen before I scrolled down and saw that is is just a still

hahaha, ill move the note.

if the kid don’t wanna say it, just have him mutter “under frog” or “wonder dog” something. it’s not like there’s a gun to the kid’s skull.

taking that out is absolutely retarded IMO. it’s been there forever and it was written the way it was intended. leave it and worry about real issues, like the kid’s test scores or the eightball you found in his jacket pocket.

try and keep the ensuing shitstorm civil.

i dont care whether its in there or not but the person who made that fucking terrible eagle graphic and the person who took the time to draft the email needs to be burned at the stake or something.

86% believe in god…14% dont. but 100% worship the dollar. so we should just change “god” to “the dollar” and then everyone will be happy.

haha not everyone worships the dollar. There are people who think money is evil

but yeah, theres no need to change it. People are going to believe what they want anyway. someones always gotta complain.

“the all ighty ollar? oh, hahahahaha”

nothing? anyone? bueler?

no…girls are evil. money is the root to that evil. There’s mathematical proof. see attachment

anyway, leave the pledge the way it is. the people who bitch about it are the ones that make this country look bad to the rest of the world…you know…the fat, lazy and bored ones (yes, emphasis on “and”) who have nothing better to do than eat and complain about trivial shit…while the rest of us are working, keeping busy and minding our own damn business.

Yeah this serparation of church and state thing is getting a bit out of hand

hey if we said it the way it was “intended” by the author, it wouldn’t have “under god” in it.

(so what I’m trying to say is that …
it hasn’t been there forever. it was written without “under god” … that was added in later, to prove some point to the communists that we were godly and they weren’t… or something stooopid like that)

agreed… sick of hearing a few complaining trying to change the majority

I hate how the constitution is supposed to provide for the acceptance of all religions, but so often it get slightly misinterpereted as preventing the recognition of any religion.

Like not being allowed to pray in a public school. If it were interpereted as intended, you just could not be forced to pray in public school. Likewise, You should be allowed to say “under God” but not forced to. Keep the line in there and let those who believe say it and those who don’t keep their mouth shut for 1.5 seconds.

is still think they should say “under frog.” that’ll always get a laugh.

amen

/no pun intended

did everyone just ignore this?

i need to look into this further…

under god was added in like 1957…

Edit - 1954

“Congress added the words “under God” in 1954, when the greatest threat to the United States was the “godless” Soviet Union.”

I highly doubt 86% of Americans believe in GOD. Maybe a god… but not GOD. Doesn’t this sound high to any other agnostics here?

yes.

and i love the fact that the under god was added after the fact. it makes it that much funnier for all the “it’s been this way so leave it” people
