New Pledge of Allegiance!

New Pledge of Allegiance!

Keep this going… Maybe someone with half a brain will see it…

New Pledge of Allegiance!
Since the Pledge of Allegiance
and
The Lord’s Prayer
are not allowed in most
public schools anymore
Because the word “God” is mentioned…

A kid in Arizona wrote the attached
NEW
School
prayer.
I liked it…
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd

If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That’s no offense; it’s a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice

For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate,
God’s name is prohibited by the state.

We’re allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.
They’ve outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.

We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the ‘unwed daddy,’ our Senior King.
It’s “inappropriate” to teach right from wrong,
We’re taught that such “judgments” do not belong.

We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.

It’s scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school’s a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen

If you aren’t ashamed to do this,
please pass this on.
Jesus said,
“If you are ashamed of me,
I will be ashamed of you before my Father.”
Not ashamed. Passing this on

that is fucking retarded. Kids can pray all they want, the school just cant make them pray. @ the religious right’s bullshit propaganda campaigns.

trying reading a Bible at lunch in a public school

:ugh:

Never opened a bible, why start now :kekegay:

Keep religion stuff off pittspeed, bad enough w/ the political crap.

too much to read.

it is bull shit its the fucking Pledge of Allegiance

i knew a lot of religious kids in high school who belonged to Young Life that did just that.

I even went to one of their meetings; I figure if I’m going to knock something, I should know what it’s all about. A kid cracking open a Bible during lunch will get a lot less shit than a kid reading the Talmud, the Torah, or the book of Mormon.

I believe in voluntary prayer in school… Take “under God” out of the pledge, but have a moment of silence after the pledge where you can silently pray to whatever god you choose, or just daydream about setting shit on fire.

correct.

will you two get a room

Damn man you took my stuff of of EFA and put it on here…good stuff! People need to read that! It is BS how school is anymore!

ok Mr. Flip Flop.

lol… i can’t help it that he’s usually right on political matters…

actually, our economic beliefs differ greatly… IIRC, darkstar’s a strict constitutionalist who believes in small federal government (i.e., what conservatives are supposed to believe in), and i’m a borderline socialist when it comes to economic policy…(i.e., federal standards for everything…states hold little to no power)

where the hell is Roland and ecovenom

Im kinda torn on certain socialist things… like I think affordable healthcare is a must, maybe even state subsidized healthcare. Welfare pisses me off. Should be pretty much abolished, and some sort of new program needs to be implmented. Something that doesnt reward welfare moms for popping out 8 kids. Something that gets people that need help the help they need, and keep out all the leaches that get on it because its easier than working. return the power to the states, federal government should exist only to set foreign policy, coin money, maintain defense and shit like that.

why health care…why should everyone pay for someone else’s health care…i do not beleive in it…also i pay for health care out of my pocket…

tell that to the 18 year olds who can’t afford to pay bills, tuition, car insurance, and health insurance and still have time to study.

if there is a will there is a way…everyone doesnt have to go to college full time…tell that to the single motherworking full time for benefits and going to night school to better herself
