In need of some opinions

well keeping in mind I have roughly 700 a month to spend on cars and and about 2100 saved up for cars, I am in a huge debate on what to do with it. I have a 240sx sitting at the house, an 87 accord lxi which the body is pretty damn bad, and have a chance to pick up a 90 accord with just a broken timing belt… I dont know what to do. Do I save up some more and put the sr20det in the 240sx and swap it to a 5 speed. Or put a b18a1 or something in the 87 accord, or buy the 90 accord and put a swap in that, or just completely blow all of those ideas and get a different car. Keep in mind i love my imports and truly can not see myself in a domestic car. Just curious of others opinions on the matter. I’m not looking to have the fastest car in pittsburgh but I do want to be able to hang with most. Any opinions respected.

240 all the way- sr20det swap

I think $700/month would get a pretty nice New Stang

SR20DET. Throw the rest of those cars in the trash can. Stay import don’t stray. even though i just bought that probe turbo on here.

do something different. s2000 motor in a s10 or somthing like that

i was preferably lookings for something that fit pretty easily in the car… Ill be getting someone else to do that swap unless its on the accords cause i have people who can help me with those…

yes! and get rid of those other cars so you can have some extra money for the 240.

well I need to keep the accord atleast as a daily driver since the 240 over heats shortly after I start driving. I may still buy and fix the 90 accord just so I have something a little easier to find parts for and sell the 87. Im just trying to find a car that Im actually satisfied with. Thanks for your opinions

not that nissan is greater than honda, but those accords are hard to do anything to. parts for the 240 will be much more ready to you.

my next fast car will be a single turbo v8 in something…prob a 260 datsun

for real. buy a used stang or anything for that matter: play with it for a while and save several hundred a month for…
A) a rainy day
B) when you get bored or your tastes change and you want to buy a ______

240sx with sr20det

add these:

Front mount IC
3 inch turbo back
cheapo Nissan VLSD
ACT 6 puck clutch
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
Manual Boost controller

Go 12.90-13.10’s @ 110 on street tires and super reliable.

Im waiting for the whiteys post where he talks about his 240 with the sr20 blah blah blah… Yah it seems like a really really good swap. The car makes alot of torque plus it quick. I think He runs high 13’s on street tires and pump gas. So its pretty good. I meen theres not alot of 240’s out there. I think thats prolly your best bet, and the swap doesnt seem like its real difficult.

13 flat - 12.90 is easily obtained with the stock t-25 turbo.

Rusty240det’s went 11.90 with a stock s14 T-28 ballbearing and HKS cams

240, simple, fast, reliable.

Dave someone told me to tell you to quit hookin up old ass Hondas. LOL. j/j. luv ya dude. Personally, I think you should stop buying cars that need fixed, and settle down and go for one. To me, your like a guy who just lost his virginity and is running around going from girl to girl. Settle for one, you dont have to have the whole car lot. Ecspecially the used car lot. Buy my old accent. Every1 on Pittspeed seems to like that car. No, but seriously, pick a car you like, and stick with it. It will come out good in the long run. talk to ya later! Oh yeah… GO MYL RACING! :))
