+1 :rofl
The thing is, I see people every day do really stupid shit. Amazingly stupid and dangerous half the time. Why are the police never around when they should be?
All that will do is piss a cop off…
because A) A supporting deposition no longer has the hold it used to as printed tickets now have a small summary on the ticket
EX: “Witnessed subject using excessive speed and paced with radar”
basicly that can be counted as the supporting deposition, if you request one and the cop doesnt write up a full one.
Also in terms of calibration check officers only have to do it so often and easily his word against yours.
I once had a cop that after he realized my dad was a cop told the judge that he realized he forgot to calibrate his radar gun, the judge knew what was going on and gave me an AOD
ACOD*
that video was more directed to when you do something wrong, and get arrested. Not traffic bullshit. no one gives a shit about a 100$ fine or 2 points. They are telling you want to do if you get caught, or accused of doing something that will land you jail time.
lol they make like a big deal that he got a $200 fine, thats nothing for doing that haha
You can’t win them all and there are times that no matter what you do or say or don’t say you’re getting that ticket.
With that said, to put yourself into the best position you should always be polite to the officer and don’t play stupid.
You knew what you were doing wrong, they obviously knew you were doing something wrong if they pulled you over playing stupid will only make their day when the write the ticket for you being a wise ass and a moron.
I’m close to ~12 officers of Albany county and Niskayuna, and I’ve heard all sorts of stories and laughed with them at people being stupid while playing stupid.
At least 50% of the time as the officer is approaching your window, it’s up in the air on whether or not he will give you a ticket, that will be up to you and your behavior.
At the end of the day, they work “retail/customer service” and deal with people all day. We all know those are possibly some of the worst jobs out there, and here the “customers” didn’t come in on their own will. Anybody who’s ever worked retail type job knows exactly how quickly you can get sick of people playing stupid or being assholes, especially when there are other customers who are polite and respectful. The polite and respectful ones get better service, the other type gets their food spat into and tickets given while pulled over.
Just my .02$
