My wife’s planning on getting a new car this summer, but before that occurs, she’ll need to get this one inspected.
Since we’re planning on getting rid of it, I don’t want her to go somewhere that’s gonna go overboard. It’s a '98 Cav, with 105k, and it’s in pretty good shape. I just don’t want someplace that’s gonna tell her she won’t pass without changing the headlight fluid and repairs to the flux capacitor.
Any suggestions in the Kennedy/Robinson/Cory area?
lol i read that wrong at first. Thought you said " It needs headlight fluid" … Best thing to do is find someone from off here. I use to work at a garage and would slap stickers on for you but i work for wm now. DO NOT go to one of those garages that say $10 inspections. Yea its 10 cuz they are gonna say u need 400 in repairs
AFAIK, nothing. Runs great, stops great, no suspension issues (did the lower control arm back in December), lights work, no holes where there shouldn’t be…It’s just gettin’ old, is all.
Just that every time she takes it to the stealership to get it done, she winds up spending a couple hundred. I wanted to have her take it somewhere else.
just make sure shit like signals, brake lights work…wipers are good. parking brake works, tierods/balljoints, no cracks in the windshield…pads/shoes okay etc
dealers provide a service. no one I know would call for anything not needed
PA Inspection sucks. not once have i ever passed the first time. and every time i bring the car back and fix what was wrong, they always find something else wrong to fail it :bullshit: im never going back to the garage i’ve been dealing with ever again. i swear they break something/or lie about something thats wrong with it…its always something. :end-rant:
I’ve taken mine back to C. Harper Ford where I bought it for free inspections the past two years and they haven’t found a single thing wrong either time. I was actually anticipating them finding several things considering it was a free inspection.
