Insurance Info

I’ll have 10 full years this september
I guess this is good news for people like me…

Well either way, it says it can’t be a daily. I mean, you can always say it was the only day you took it out, but when they look at the mileage you put on it, they’ll book your ass and deny you coverage.

ive heard from some people that it’s 10 years from when you get your full license

ive been meaning to call and find this out for myself tho

You can get your car tested at MTO, you drop it off and make an appointment, they run it through all kinds of tests and when the tests are done and it passes, they certify your car and make it lagit for road use.

After you recieve that certificate and notice on your vin you will be able to lagitimatly have your vehical insured.

You are acually required to do this if you swap in an engine with more cylinders than any that came stock in that chassis, as it is illegal to do unless you get this done.

10 years driving exp starts from your G2 date

thx for the info mikey!

next question, do they actually have the ability to run a check?

John,
yes they do have that ability. At least my insurance company does.
As a matter of fact, they knew the exact dates when I changed insurance companies, when I was first insured, under what kind of policy, under whose name, and when I got my G1, G2 & G licenses.
No idea how they could have known all this, but I did have to confirm all that over the phone before they gave me my own policy. All they needed was my Drivers License Number.
