I was just thinking, would it matter if a car or more like a race car since it would probably have more affect on it, that if it is dirty it would affect its performance? would its drag get more resisted or is the factor too small to tell the difference than a nice clean and shiny car that the air is will just smoothly pass over it… haha, i know… just give me your input.
Its not
i highly doubt that it would make a difference that is noticable…
you may notice it in wind tunnel testing… but surely not on the track… think about how much shit flies through the air at your car as you boogie down the back strait at mosport… its a bottom to top run … gotta be picking up a fair but of junk…
in short… no it wont make a differnce.
GT
punctuation rules, your run-on sentence does not…
but yes, it would make a difference, however minute.
Consider drag cars with fibreglass 1 piece front ends, no gaps, less drag…
a flat floor pan would help more…
also, air temp makes a difference, in sub-8second cars, daytime (sunny) air is hotter/thinner than night-time air
yes, i apologize. i should have edited my msg before i posted… meanwhile, im usually the grammar police.
like the guys already said, it would make a difference yet… noticeable… probably not.
Something heavily dependant on aerodynamics like F1 may see some effects… i doubt most would
it would affect the car under high high speeds maybe. low speeds such as 100km/h a human wouldn’t notice it but a under testing a computer most likely would.
but we were talking dirt on teh car…
GT
maybe if i put a fucking boulder on the hood.
next time you watch racing take a look at how dirty the cars are after or near the end of the race. i dont think it would matter to much.
do you ever say anything useful?
an dyea you have to look at lmp cars after le mans for instance… if it was making a difference… i bet they would figure out some way to quickly wash the car… but… the dirt is negligable…
GT
no, not really.
let me ask you something. do you ever lock a stupid topic?
i don’t think i could have made my boulder comment anymore sarcastic
ricer1 yo fuck you
ricer2 lets race
race, rice1 loses to rice2
ricer2 owned yo ass, my car is cleaner than yours
ricer1 my 240 is dirty, i have too much drag, just wait till i get a high performance touchless wash at sunoco, i’ll smoke yo ass
anyway… did you know they wax yachts before races ? they wax the whole hull so it glides in the water easier… i guess a dirty car does have more drag, just not as much as a dirty boat probably…
no i lock everything.
GT
no i lock everything.

lol you ass… yea yea pandas own me hard… x 3 i think its you kitchener folk who jinx me lol
GT
hahaha… ok listen, it was a stupid question, but how come in GT4 “a real driving simulator” takes it in consideration to wash the car to get less drag…
anyways, it was only a small concern i had, i was bored.
because GT4 is an arcade game
pretty sure washing the car in gt4 only raises its value?
besides, that game is so fake, like a car tanks that hard in real life. nop.
but its good to teach ricers, im pretty sure thats why they did it. “wow drifting in a video game is really hard, imagine how hard it is in real life”
i like i like
how come in Gran turismo (probably all) if you change the oil before the car is ever driven the HP increases?
Shit, video games aren’t reality…
