8.4 with slicks

45.3.

If i get out and push.

^Attach the car to a jet aircraft and lets see who wins.

The 240sx is not meant as a drag car from factory it’s meant as a car to attack corners… and even then don’t expect a Ferrari or a Porsche out of a used car with older worn parts.

Removing the clutch fan and adding a cone filter will not make any dramatic change. In fact, if you have the cone air filter OPEN without any barrier, it may be doing more harm than benefit for you as it’ll be sucking in hot air…

The AC doesn’t take too much but these are miniscule things… the exhaust on 240sx does make more so of a difference than on say a honda (where it doesn’t really lol)… but still all these things are s more or less insignificant… and costing far more in expenditure than the performance you may get (eg; spending money on a fancy bling bling air intake that shines and a shiny 3" exhaust that’s just outrageously loud) and I hate to think at all the advertising of the f&f era of the last few years…

At the end of the day, it depends also on your engine’s condition.

Expect something between a 16 and a 17…

If you just bought the car… and are thinking about drag racing, etc… chillax lol… take care of the car first  Do regular maintenance so that the car is at least running at stock performance levels. Check the compression on all the cylinders, listen for any knocking, etc…

If you really want to get real with this, do a dyno test on your car as it is to see where it stands, then work from there. Do things properly…

The KA24DE in NA form… well… the amount of money some people have spent on making it faster in NA form was not worth it and didn’t even reach near 200whp

Going with a a custom but cheap turbo to run about 6-8psi… until the engine dies lol… is much better. Again, somethin that can only be done succesfuly with some planning and investing some time to see if your car is even at stock performance levels. (eg; you’ll blow it up if the engine sucks and is unhealthy already)

If you want to drag the car… don’t expect much from an air intake lol… in fact, expect a slower run if its sucking in hot air.

According to crappy online stats from random google encyclopedia finds, these are the stock figures from factory:

1989 Nissan 240SX 8.8 16.5
1990 Nissan 240SX SE 8.8 16.5
1991 Nissan 240SX SE 7.9 16.1
1993 Nissan 240SX Convertible 9.6 17.3
1993 Nissan 240SX SE 8.4 16.3
1995 Nissan 240SX SE 8.3 16.1
1995 Nissan 240SX SE-R 8.0 15.8

The bottom line is, you can never have all 3 out of “cheap, fast, reliable”. You always have to ditch one.

Jesus fittytucking christ. I aint reading all that.

Why is it everyone needs to be dissed instead of helped, regardless of how stupid something may seem, with the shit and giggles of the group’s perception that aonther newbie has arrived with a f&f mentality of air intake cone K&N air performance filter, NAWS, performance muffler and exhaust, remove AC, remove everything from the car to make it lighter newb…versus actually nicely saying a thing or two in a serious tone (lol  woopie do okay more than a thing or two).

If we diss people, they’ll remain K&N filter and exhaust performance enthuasists, versus actually being serious about motorsport, knowing what car they own and actually caring for the cars they own.

I’ve used the net since 1997, and I’ve been a mod and admin on a buncha forums over the years and its really retarded, that every new comer has to be dissed versus kindly helped 8)

16.3

If you’ve never dragged before, mid to high 17’s. It takes more skill than you think.

i can’t believe people actually replied to this, lol.
and yes i’m being a hypocrite by saying that but I don’t care.

my best run was a 15.5 witch is sweet lol
