okay here is my question. Can i use the intermediate shaft from an auto B18 tranny on a B16 tranny? the splines fit but the bolt holes dont line up on the transmission…so im assuming no?
well the cv shafts are the same from the auto to the 5sp… so i would think it would be the same it could just be the intermediate that is diff for the holes… call autoshitty and ask to run the part #'s the only difff in know with the b16 is the block is shorter …
no you can’t…the auto and manual trans intermediate shafts are different…like you said, the splines fit fine but the 3 bolts won’t line up and that’s not a piece you should feel comfortable fabbing to get it to work. It’s super cheap to pick one up used.
