The sentencing was today. He pleaded no contest to the drug charges and the murder charges were dropped by the state. The federal court did not pick them up and he got 5 yeras probation/2 with good behavior and no jail time. This restored a little bit of my faith in the judiciary system but it only took 4 god damn years.

thats awesome that he got off. I’m sure he has a shitload of legal bills though that he’ll be paying off for the rest of his life.
$5,000 in fines, his Dad helped out BIGTIME with the lawyer (~$27k), and the lawyer said he has seen court costs as high as $100,000. But still no word on what his court costs were.

The guy sold two girls drugs, who turned around and dealt a pill to a third. Brandi French wasn’t part of his deal. The girl(s) who provided the pill for her should be in deep shit, and the mom should be looked into for some kind of negligence.

well i’m betting he violates probation and he’ll end up where he belongs, In jail! Not because someone died but because i don’t believe in gettin a free pass on your first conviction be it murder, manslaughter, dealin drugs or whatever. Slaps on the wrist don’t teach criminals lesson, getting fucked in tha ass by their cell mate does.

I don’t agree with people selling drugs either, but he didn’t kill her and I don’t believe he was at fault for her death either.

me grow up? thats funny. your friend is the one the sold drugs, and selling drugs is not a mistake. a mistake is what happends when you drop a fly ball in a baseball game or leaving a cake in the oven too long or marking the wrong answer on a test. When you sell drugs you know damn well its wrong. The reason why people do this shit is because they consequences aren;t there. If there was a no tolerance policy maybe this country wouldn’t be such a shithole. Your attitude towards what he did, IMO, is unaceptable. Crimes deserve jail time, period.
its hard to argue with that. but this guys crime is drug dealing not murder. he probably deserves jail time, he should probably get whatever the full penalty for that crime is. but a murder charge is kind of a stretch.
