i belive the oil pressure light comes on when there is 6 psi of pressure from what ive read

it comes on when 33% of your oil is gone, that is what i have derived from 3 of these events

It’s an oil pressure sensor not a oil level sensor. You can have 5 quarts in the motor and still have that light go on.

obviously not always the case, but when there’s no oil there’s no pressure :stuck_out_tongue:

for oil filter i just use the ghey fram DG3682 off the shelf at CT, 240sx spec. same shit.

i have had hoses in various parts of the engine bay spew oil everywhere when really hammering it on the highway… i got that white smoke too, alot of it, but it was just oil burning off the engine / exhuast… nothing to worry about other than the oil leak.

get an adapter plate for your filter to run guages and cooler lines off of, then put your fitler on that. easier to replace if the threads get boinked again

yea i want to do something similar, i want to get a sandwich adapter so i can run a decent oil cooler and oil pressure gauge, and when i install the sandwich adapter I will use some soft minimal threadlock so that it will never come off unless I really want it to

i will have entire kits like this available in the near future.

the sandwich adater, the stainless lines, the cooler etc. etc.

i want to get one for myself at least and usually when that happens its group buy time

dude, a stock SR setup runs out of steam waaaayyyyy before redline… you need to learn your shit before you really do some serious damage.

on second thought, do whatever you want and learn from your own mistakes.

the SR doesnt lose steam before redline, just the T25 does…

strap on a serious turbo and its hard to forget you have a redline.
