All I can say is if you think that intersection (Transit and Wehrle) is bad now, wait a year or two. There are plans in the works to expand both Transit and Wherle: Transit will be widened all the way to the Thruway entrance so it will be 6 lanes North/South (from Sheridan south) with at least 1 center turn lane and right hand turn lanes on each side. And Wehrle will be widen to 2 lanes East/West with 1 center turn lane and possibly right hand turn lanes on each side. AND, they plan to have space for the snow when they plow. Where they plan to get the space for this, I have no idea. And as for time table… we all know how quickly road contruction goes, especially on a busy street like Transit.

I would disagree with the orange cone making it easier to avoid. If people were curbing their cars when the HUGE BOULDER was there, then a silly little cone isn’t going to stop them :shrug:

I was making a right into the lot (where there IS an entrance), assumed the curb was what it wasn’t and I turned too sharply… ran up on the curb. oops. good job, all the people who haven’t hit it and are so proud of themselves. I’ll give you a gold star the next time I see you.

and quizno’s is on the upper left of the building, not the lower left.
I think Google screwed up Mike, the Quiznos is at the top of the lot. The curb would be directly across from the Ford Dealer lot (very top of the picture). Use the white car on the road for reference, it is right in front of the entrance where the killer curb is.
your both correct about it being top left … that’s the way google labled it … i’ll edit the pic a bit to give the correct perspective.

The curb is there to protect a parking spot…Had a car been parked there she would have ran into a curb then a car…

This is not a magic curb…it doesnt move…
If I crash into one of those new curbs in the brennans parking lot does it suddenly become a design flaw? or am I not paying attention to where im going.
Obviously more then not the other 99% of the people who drive in that lot have made it around the magic curb…The magic curb didnt try to jump out and scare them.
my thoughts exactly ^ there was not a car there so it was assumed you could cut the corner early and hit the curb, thats all there is to it, operator error, end of story.

I agree as well. If you can’t avoid a stationary object you need to be paying attention more to your driving.
If a car were there im sure she would have went around it but i can see why the curb is there if the lot was icy it would have stopped the car from sliding into a car that may have been parked there, its best to just avoid quiznos anyway jim’s steakout is the only place that should be able to get away with $8 subs
even if the lot is poorly designed, you really don’t have an excuse for hitting the curb. I guess when life throws you curbs…dodge them :gotme:
