Pistons and making noise seems like a bad combo!
Turbo tuff manleys and Heavy duty weisco’s with the reinforced wrist pin,
,
if your gonna do it be a baller,
thats got my vote 2
That was easy, TT and Weisco reinforced. Got it.
Uh-oh, it’s on!
Can I retain squirters?
Is it normal for the block to return with bent up dowel pins?
Yes you can retain squirters esp useing the GSR crank
and yes the dowl pins should have already been removed before you sent it!
no biggie i am excited to see it go
The torn down spare motor is now at Hybrid.
We decided on…
CP pistons, 9.0:1 84mm
Eagle H-beam rods
ACL bearings
Full valve-job using all Supertech components.
BLOX B cams
Golden Eagle main studs & head studs
OEM gaskets & parts kit
new oil pump
new water pump
Align hone & various machining tasks
Holy Batman, where have you been lumberjack? Thats going to be a nice build.
:boink
sweet. git r done
x2!
were gona need to run next summer…unless your block is fully built by then…well even then i dont mind loosing by a football field lol
–fico back from the dead!!! at least for now…
rockin Justin…can’t wait to see it done.
Thanks guys.
I thought the manifold, the 38mm WG, etc. would work but the guys at Hybrid really think a set of 1000cc precision injectors, a full ram mani, a 44mm Tial WG and a larger intercooler would be better than the parts I already have.
So much for doing anything on the cheap…I’ll decide if I’m going to go with what I have or with the bigger parts later, but the motor is at least getting built from oil pan to valve cover with stuff that will support 500 HP.
The manifolds, injectors, and other stuff I have will likely support 400+ HP most likely. I got time to drive it at 400 HP with what I have then do balls out later this year if I really want to…unless someone wants to buy this stuff for a decent price I’m probably going to use it.
Hell, at 400 I should probably learn how to drive it before stepping it up anyway.
and about those dowel pins…F*^* them, i was trying to swap an engine in a parking lot and we get the old engine out and pull the tranny out then try to throw it on the new engine and we have a bitch of a time getting the input shaft in because it was getting dark and the tranny was awkward so we finnaly get it in and it wont slide the last 1/4 of an inch down so we look around for why and find that the dowl pin from the blown engine stuck into the tranny when we pulled it off and the dowel from the new engine was still in there…so we had to do everyhting over again, i hate those damn pins
Update: got a full-race replica, custom built exhaust mani with 44mm Tial mount plate already welded up.
I still need some odds and ends, but with the wedding coming up it’s definitely going to be next year before this set up gets installed.
Wedding == too much money eating into car budget
awesome. sounds like some good stuff!!
this should be ‘the real’
‘the real’ pain in the ass build up, that is
you wanna sell the sfp?
