This is going to get even worse really fast.
There is now radiation leaking from oen of the nuclear plants wtih workers already having been exposed to it.
More than 1,700 confirmed dead and more than 9,500 unreachable.
Japan has A LOT of people 80+ since people in rural Japan seem to live so damn long so i can see a lot of the casualties coming from that demographic, especially in the weeks to come. can’t be easy to be displaced at 80-95 years old.
This is nuclear power’s big test. People were willing to look at Chernobyl and say, “well, it was those stupid Russians who had almost no safety systems in place” and give nuclear another chance. If this plant does melt down you’ll never see another nuclear reactor get built in our lifetimes. If you can’t trust the Japanese to build one right who can you trust?
yeah there are very serious implications here for sure, well beyond this crisis in an of itself.
Looks like one reactor is officially melting down and another is about to. Just when everything looks as bad as it could be.
Also, they are saying the entire country of japan shifted 8 feet during the quake and the earth’s axis was changed by a few inched.
first a major earthquake, followed by a massive tsunami, then several dozen significant aftershocks, then a nuclear catastrophe…
would this be an unprecedented sequence of disasters?
First three are related and common to occur together.

It’s interesting to think about how in WWII we dropped 2 atomic bombs on them and now our nuclear powered aircraft carrier is parked in their harbor leading the relief effort.
there was a story on CBC about a japanese dude who was carried 15km’s out to sea by the tsunami and clung to the roof of his own hoome for 2 whole days before a helicopter spotted him and a rescue boat went and collected him.

This is crazy just to see entire villages just wiped of the map. Literally, nothing left. Googlemaps hasn’t updated their software to show it, but I wonder if they ever will. Just zoom in to see nothing there anymore…

2012 is proven both scientifically and biblically, the Mayan calendars… 2012 is not going to be the end of the world, but it will lead to a new beginning of some sort…, massive depopulation is already happening and will continue… this is only the beginning, it is said that 2/3 of the worlds population will decease … i believe just so much bad things are going happen and that a new power will try to run the world… the world is already corrupt, and it will only get worst, i feel we are all basically sitting ducks in all of this… its messed up to see all this happen… but we will just have to wait and see …what will actually happen at the end of 2012… something ‘big’ is going to hit us, this is nothing… but the world will not end, i see it 2 ways, a new beginning ( not a good one tho ) and massive depopulation … i believe theres 2 big plans brewing good and evil. good in the sense ( if you believe ) that God ( or if you say a higher power ) will come and save us from this chaos. the evil brewing is by mankind itself, wanting to take over and cause suffering…
