Good stuff m’man…
Maybe I missed something, are you driving it now? With light boost or…? If so, how do you like it? Full boost = 10 PSI I guess?
Looks like a good, clean install. Gets my thumbs up!
You owe me a ride.

LOL, I know I owe you a ride. I’m keeping a list and your on it for sure brother.
As for me boosting, no not yet. The waste gate is open untill I hit the dyno. I just got this project going and I’m not gona do anything stupid to wreck it.
“REAL FUN” = 10psi yes .
Patience is a virtue.
It’s funny that you’re keeping a list…am I going to have to also…?? :noes: (is it just me or does that emoticon remind everyone of Gonad!!! lol) I already have a few…and you’re actually one of them haha…
I forget the exact turbo you’re running and all, but with your setup, you’d probably see a healthy 240-270rwhp. Which is fun indeed.
Bruce, I know you’re a madman and all (haha), but think of your family when you drive. Think of the children.
  , no worries dude. That’s why we have the “family car” being a minivan. Just don’t let that get around .
Great job Bruce!!! Can’t wait till it’s boosted!
Hey Bruce,
You may want to start introducing boost before you hit the dyno. The characteristics of your car are going to change completely and you don’t want silly crap going wrong when you are paying for expensive dyno time.
A simply example would be blowing charge pipes. Happened to me on the way to work today (oops – 16psi just for fun). Needless to say I’m getting good at putting them back on but still took 20 minutes on the side of the road.
It will save you a tonne of $$$ if you iron out some kinks on the road…I’m sure your setup could handle a few pounds…
looks good, did you get the safc down pat?
dude i would wathc out for detonation when runnin 10psi with a smic.
250rwhp is a pretty big exaduration.
looks pretty sick though post some numbers when its done
that valve cover looks familure…
glad to hear it bruce, finally… Now your signature is in full effect, man was that ever annoying
WELL I BOOSTED FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!
It was only between 3-5psi and I did’nt hold it in there because I’m not tunned for it but I think everything went great. To me it felt nice and I’m pretty sure I felt the power and it sounded wild. I was as giddy as a school girl.
Since I’ve never owned a turbo charged car, I can’t be certain everything is fine and power is being made properly but yeah, sounded really cool.
^^
That was a good idea Dan, thanks. I ended up popping off a coonection at the throttle body, D’HO! So I think I will double up on the clamps and really tighten them down. All the rest seem to be fine thought.
Hopefully I’ll have my bov flange welded today and then I can run my Type S and hear that beautifull sound that I’ve been dying for.
Well keep you guys posted.
Take care.
Easy 8)
well, no thank you to the one who hooked u up wit the motor :? , im glad to here it worked out well and everythings running, cant wait to see sum dyno sheets.
Hey I’m really sorry man  . I edited my original post and added you there . There was just soooooo many people to thank and I did mention that “if I’ve forgotten anyone to let me know” as I knew it was gona happen.
Anyway, thanks a lot for the great words and I will be letting everyone know as soon as I hit the dyno.
bruce do you wanna trade cars with me?
 , sorry dude but I don’t think that’s gona happen. I’ll take you for a rip though if you want?
Well the engine bay is just about done now. I installed my CP Racing front strut bar and my BOV as well today. Here is a pic of the almost finished product,
I will be changing the blue silicone coupling soon and the last grey silicone hose as well. A little bit of purple wire cover’s and a good engine wash and I’ll be done.
Nice! Let’s race for $50 right now! Let’s go! $50! (inside joke)
Hey Bruce it looks great bro, I will have to check it out when I get back from the Greek islands. And then I will have to start on my project.
