It’s funny how everyone who has “legally” imported an illegal car won’t give any hints as to how it was made legal. It’s because they did it illegally. Even if it’s legal with the MTO, which is not hard to do, it’s not legal with the CBSA, and they could come to collect at any time.

you missed the whole point man… it’s not what he has that everyone is pissed off at…
its the fact that it’s illegal, and because of people like him, everyone else might get screwed over if they change the law. i.e. raise the taxes on imported cars, make it 25 years, prohibit it completely… who knows what they might think of.
So… since plenty of guys want to get a car from japan, this would really suck…
and if I saw him on the street, I would certainly think about writing his license plate number and calling up 1-800-461-9999 or 1-800-333-0371 and the MTO (1-800-268-4686)

Many GTRC kids have hadthis happen, Becks has had his STOCK laurel sitting in impound for 3 months because the feds have decided to change there definition of manufacture BECAUSE of people sneaking in NEW cars saying they’re old cars that have been MODIFIED to look like new cars.

As far as track cars are concerned, UNLESS you are offiliated or have a track lisece, forget about it, customs isnt letting it happen. The only way these newer than 15 year old cars get onto the streets is by skeevy underhanded sneaky dealers who sneak them by customs for with NO regaurd to anyone else.
