gf had this problem with her jeep and it took me 2hrs to figure out. then 3 day later her moms jeep had the same propblem
i did a google search and it seems alot of the newer jeeps have this problem but nobody was able to tell me what it is that caused the problem
so i thought id post my conclusion here.
1. first thing check fuses OBVIOUSLY
its going to be in the box behind the glove box all the way to the right 2nd one down from the top (telling you this because its not labled right in the owners manual and im saving you time from the testlight)
2.after replacing the fuse and it immediately blows again then go to the front running lights and unplug them from the light socket
3. now everything should work again, then plug one in and see what happens, if all is still working well then plug the other one in. what usual happens is you pop the fuse when the bad light socket is plugged back in
cliff notes: if your tail lights/dashlights dont work then it most likely is a bad running light bulb socket. atleast thats what is was for me 2/2 times
if this post saves the aggrevation of one person then it served its purpose
i know this is probably pretty basic shit for majority of you guys but for some reason i felt like posting this
