anyhow i installed this JIC coils on the back in the front i have some kei office, anyhow on the back ones i have some funny ass noise… sound like clack clack while im hitting bumps im imagining is the spring hitting the top or bottom of the casing of the spring. could it be that they are blown, i also have a strut brace bar i tighten those bolts and also made sure that all bolts on top and bottom of the coilovers are well tighten any input ???
you might have short springs on your coilovers and with the height raised for winter you will unseat the spring from the perch on bumps and you will get a “ping” or “clang” when the car comes back down and the spring seats on the perch again. Getting secondary “helper” springs to take up the dead zone when you have the suspension raised is the best way to prevent this noise as well as avoid possibly damaging your springs or perch when the springs reseat.
btw I saw you driving on Calgary trail across agyll at around 3pm today in the left lane
For me it was a loose bolt on top of the strut tower. I had the exact same symptoms. Tightened it up and it was perfect.
thanks for input scott and adam i tried that method unfortunately no go … no dude that wasnt me at 3pm yesterday i was at desiro installing the suspension and looking how im going to change to vlsd next week…
