job offer is it worth it ?

Risk does NOT always equal reward. Furthermore, a 5% pay increase is a piss-poor reward to expect when faced with the risk of:

  1. Potentially losing your new job when the new employer needs to reduce budget and eliminate employees without seniority.
  2. Potentially hating your new job.
  3. Potentially hating your new location.

but you wont be the one to get a phone call " dude i’m drunk and lost somewhere in the ghetto" lol he atleast knows where not to go by now in baltimore.

i know a lot of you are talkin about the warm weather as a factor for moving… well if global warming is legit pittsburgh will be pretty nice in about 10 years or so when houston is burnt to a crisp :smiley:

i moved from home for work, and hated it. got a huge raise, but the city sucked-philly…

your going somewhere pretty nice, warm, flat, reasonable price…go for it

from a comfortable job that was going to be around as long as I wanted it to be to a consulting company. :slight_smile:
