Jtviggen VS Hyundai

its going to be even beautiful with the V12 TDI its goin to have in it!!! :wow :bowdown

vlad how can u like that Hyundai its just another wanna be MB or Infiniti they are tryin anything they can to be a strong manufacture in the north american market.
the car does look good but i would run one of those to the ground IMHO :nono

Be biased against the name all you want, but they are very decent, reliable, safe cars, for half the price of the compeditors.

Hyundai’s reliability rankings now tie Honda’s

They got the J.D. power associates award too.

Hyundai is going in the way that Honda had to go years ago. Go into a saturated market, and do what they had to do to sell cars, and that is take a hit on them as long as necessary until they establish a customer base. Bang for the buck in those cars is great, and they come with good reliability.

Older models were indeed junky, but they are quality in the recent years.

yes they are getting better but they just are not really worth the money and cant hold their value and are hard to resell esp the Tiburon’s IMHO

How are they not worth the money? They got every feature you want and then some, for half the price. Hate to tell you, but a lot of cars don’t hold their value. $30K plus cars from early 2000’s are barely worth low 10’s now.

Yeah but an early 2000’s sonata’s resale value will be wayyyy less than that of an early 2000’s jetta…factoring in similar mileage, they’re in the same class (sedan, 4 cyl) have similar options (leather, sunroof, power everything) the Jetta would have a value of about 9k compared to that of a sonata which would be about 5k.

There is still a quality issue with Hyundai but you cant beat the price and the cars are getting nicer.

my mother drives an 03 santa fe and it is a great car, but the quality of it is lacking, theres a lot of ins and outs of the car that go wrong, like sensors and what not, but it does drive really nice and she hasnt had a problem with the drivetrain.

I’m going to reserve judgement until I drive one(the genesis) but so far I am impressed with the overall package, if executed well it will certainly stir thing up in the under $40k market. Based on Hyundai’s track record I am not optimistic, I remember the same fuss about the XG350 when it initially came out, it looked the part but the fit, finish and feel of the car was undeniably Hyundai.

The only car ive ever driven by hyundai is 02-04? some year Tiboron GT-S, manuel tranny, maybe 30K, wasnt impressed.

i drove a 5-speed '07 sonata. it was okay i guess, except the suspension was way too “floaty.”

i wouldn’t mind driving one (i drive a honda, it doesn’t get much more basic)

but I find the fact that they copy 90 percent of the body styles of their cars cheap and tasteless

It’s surprising how many car companies copy styling cues from bmw…seriously look at pics of the new Hyundai Genesis, it even has the BMW Hofmeister Kink for god sakes!

european styling is carried over to so many cars its not even funny. look at the aerial antennas, the door handles, etc on a lot of cars now…

not to mention the COMPLETE jocking of the mercedes
