No, Iām talking about a whole other country. Like how the British exported a ton of criminals to a penal colony in Australia and today over 20% of the populate of Australia can trace their ancestry to those āexportsā. Iām in the town of Lockport, right at the edge of Starpoint, and in the 3 years I have lived here my assessment has gone up 62k since I moved in. We get 10-20 % increases every other year, and I was not really paying attention to the rate of change back then, because in the Town of Tonawanda, my taxes were 4.5k and did not go up much. It also looks like school taxes have been going up right at the tax cap every single year. My new tax payment is more than my entire mortgage and tax payment in Tonawanda.
But, nobody has tried to get in my cars. The downside, is Tonwanda Creek Rd is a race track during the day and I spend way too much money at NYBP.
It seems like the rioting has calmed down lately. I wonder if it is because of the fear of military intervention that came from POTUS. I need a Policing 2022 meme with militarized
social workers. I also think militarization of police is wrong, but can not think of a faster way to address real civil unrest.
I wish the major US news stations would stop trying to cram their opinions down everyoneās throat.

Holy shit @ those taxes. My taxes in the city are super low, but then again I have BLM protesters parking on my street and businesses in my neighborhood boarded up.
I have combat veteran exemption taking my taxes down to 50% assessment.

As for Buffalo. I stopped listening to the scanner app after driving downtown the next day.
Locals had cleaned the place up pretty well. Stopped at an Elmwood pet store to buy a leash and color for my dog so we could walk around the navy ships etc.
Are you right on the water or have multiple acres? That sucks! Between school and town/village, Iām just shy of $5000 while having a fraction of an acre. haha
