i know i can only get so much info from the guys who have my car to get anything informative from them. whats everyones thaughts on k sports, what else is out there in the same price range… ish… i mean im down for a grand -1500 for something a shit load better than what i have. but hows the rebuilding, and availability of rebuild parts? am i gonna have to wait weeks for a single strut cartridge if one blows? whats the ups and downs of them from anyone whos used them??? im not opposed to only getting k sports, so if theres even somethign else anyone knows that fits a bg chassis mazda let me know too… im going to swerve tomarrow to buy some new injectors and figure i might as well get a tab going to pay for…lol… but i like cash so anyone even who wants to deal in just cash let me know…lol…
My brother has them on his SE-R and likes them, but other than that I have not experience with them.
They are becoming more an more popular in the focus scene, and a few guys have sent them out for rebuilding but I’m not sure where…I think they have a field warehouse in california that does the rebuilding. From what I see the reviews show a good bang for the buck. Check into D2 as well, they are sister companies and the kits are identical…and are different in price. While one brand is cheap for car “X”, the other brand might be cheaper on car “Y”
if you’re willing to spend up to 1500 i would get koni yellows or tokico illuminas (white shocks) and ground control coilovers. read reviews on ksports, for some reason of the cheaper coilovers theyre junk. ive seen a lot of complaints as opposed to d2 and megan coilovers. i had megans and i would probably buy them again
FWIW, Ksport’s entire product line underwent redesigns for late 2010…so alot of the stock that’s out there is just starting to eliminate leftover old design stuff now and the new designs are making their way into circulation
a miata guy i know told me to look for the koni’s too, but i dont think they ever made anything close to bolt on for mine, or anything i can use parts from… the d2’s ive noticed are usualy 200-500 more than k sports, which is kinda weird if its the same shit… im just doing taxs today, so i got a few weeks or what ever before they pay up, but i atleast figured id ask here. the forums i go on are kind of biased seeing most either run k sports, or shitty stock replacement crap with gc’s on them…
as far as k sports tho,do you know if theres a part number change? or how can you actually tell if your getting the updated one?
no part number change that I know of. If you order them from swerve they will most likely drop ship from the manufacturer so they will be the new shit.
