Any little contaminate in or under the paint can also cause rust. Any idea if the car was ever resprayed on that panel??
read his post, no one is handing out a grand, they’re only covering part of the bill, so its fix or nothing
lol beat me to it.
I say keep fighting it. Fight it until you are about just about to be out of warranty and then take whatever they have offered at that point (if it’s even worth it). Maybe you’ll get lucky.
its the same with all manufacturers, anti-perforation only covers from the inside/out from factory defect. Its not kia’s fault nys uses salt that eats cars. Well except Audi they will cover anything up to 10 or 12 years lol
I agree there is no proof of me washing it for the last 5 years… but wouldn’t the condition of the whole car matter? This is the only problem area, I could see if the entire car was beat or there were surface rust spots on multiple body panels, but this is the only problem area.
Not that I can see, and there is still factory spot welds as well.
Thank you… sometimes I wonder if people can read.
i would ride urine scented public transporation before i spent a penny on a kia.
I feel the same way about Oldsmobiles. Thank you for your opinion.
wow nice comeback…let see Oldsmobile who was the first american car company, first automatic transmission, first production FWD…etc etc… or kia… a korean piece of shit thats not even the best selling car in KOREA!!!.. you got me there champ.
They just wanted some cash and rip you off! Kinda unfair, the dealership should cover the paint-job and ho charge ask.
ho charge ask?
its complicated you wouldn’t understand.
Lets be honest. We all know it was caused by salt this is buffalo. It is pathetic that they can’t make it last 5 years though and I can’t comprehend why they would even offer a rust/corrosion warranty at all if they are not going to cover salt… Call a dealer in PA or Ohio and have them cover it. Then maybe they won’t be such ass holes about the salt thing because salt is not used as much down there.
Funny this popped up. I just went to file the small claims suit and the lady in the court office told me that I would have to file the suit where KIA is located, which is in Irvine, California. Therefore, I don’t know what else to do but forget it, since I’m obviously not going to fly out to California for this issue.
