True I was impressed as well to see how many different times he defended against being put into submission holds… that was sick.
and that stoppage on the last 2 fights was weak. they used to let fighters beat each other to the ground unconscious and the first sign of shaky legs they were jumping on their ass last night

The fight was stopped kinda early but Thompson was bleeding pretty nice and Kimbo was 2 punches away from knocking him out anyways. Thompson could have easily ended that fight at towards the end of round 2 when he had kimbo on his back throwing elbows at his face. Those shots were weak IMO. If he threw more into them kimbo was done. Also girl fight was kinda lame but the girl who won was smoking hot.

Glad he pulled it off last night, ground game has been one of the biggest issues people talk about with Kimbo and he took good care of his first ground situation
I know its hard to accept this guy to have potential to be a good MMA fighter, hell in his condition a few YEARS ago when he first started training, I would agree!
But realize he has been training and is significantly better now than he used to be, he can roll with the big dogs.
And yes, the ear explosion was pretty fantastic

BS. Both guys were equally gassed out… that fight was a draw in my opinion. Kimbo was so winded at the end it wasnt even funny. He DOES NOT have what it takes to fight a conditioned and halfway decent fighter.
that fight was a joke thompson was trying to wear kimbo out, he had a lot more energy left than kimbo and that dumbass ref ended it. Once again james thompson isnt a top contender either he basically ended up in a draw with kimbo imo.
wtf. both fighters were on their feet…no ground-n-pound = no reason to end…
kimbo could barely lift his arms up any more to throw punches, and thompson was definitely still on his feet with enough energy to get in the ref’s face for ending it.
and you can not say “well kimbo was about to end it anyway”… this is MMA, not chess… one good chin punch from either fighter could’ve ended this, even if just by luck…

sometimes its very hard to get rid of colliflower ear, it will just come back. Also if they drain it will just balloon up again in another fight so its a waste of money unless he wants to retire

I thought overall it was a decent show, some entertaining fights. both of those fights were called too early for sure though.
These are the same refs that do all of the different organizations, I wonder if there were some sort of special instructions for this night. There were a bunch of shady things in that kimbo fight.
