Ksport coilover owners, post your experience

truth, further proving why i chose k-sports over my example of the skunk2 set-up, whether the car is dumped or an inch above stock ride height you are never forced to bottom the struts out, or overextend them. Not saying anyone has never blown a k-sport, but atleast it isn’t a sure thing.

if you are worried about the spring “bouncing” around-- use a helper spring setup or buy a spring the correct length. truth be told, once the car is on the ground, the spring should be seated. if it is not, you have other problems.

if you buy off the shelf shocks, and custom g/c’s-- you get to choose spring rates and sizes. so a spring 2 inches longer could be had w/ same rate.

really, the ksports will work for 90% of the end users. if it works for you–great. yet, imo i dont see it being a predictable/repeatable performance wise shock.

I had Apexi N1 Dampers on my 98 Accord for 3 years. They were EXCELLENT for DD. Almost a factory ride when driving normal, but would load up well in the corners.

i have F&F type2 coilovers on my daily driver and they are fine its no smooth ride but it doesnt bother me. you just have to go with what you want. if you want full oiloers then get them. i have also heard about k sports blowng same as i heard about ff’s blowing but everything has its down sides. im sure you will be happy with them.

I cancelled my order and found a set of used Tokico Illuminas w/ Ground Control coil overs… I absolutely love it! It will take whatever i throw at it, just turn the wheel and it goes!

K-Sport & D2 are affiliated. i think they are built in the same factory…i remember reading about it somewhere. they are very similar, D2 just have more dampen adjustability.
I have d2’s on my hatch…no complaints.

so your oem suspension didnt turn very good?

No it sucked and only had 99k on it. The struts werent blown, but yuck, it sucked.

i think you would have been happy with the k-sports, but hey if you’re happy with your decision, chalk it up for a win

i have rode in Bswaptcivic’s car with k-sports and the ride wasn’t all the bad i think for the money you can’t beat them. i have them on my talon but haven’t driven it yet since its appart while i paint it. about k-sport making performance cavalier parts…i think your thinking of RK sport they have performance parts and body kits for cavaliers and other gm cars.
