google HP DV1000 problems, my DV2025nr shit the bed a while ago, the GPU’s overheat and the solder joints break. usually the wireless goes first, you get a usb wireless card, then the video issues start, and it gets REAL hot and then it just craps out and won’t boot at all. standard issue, yank the drive and pitch it in the trash.
