Have a 52" Bravia LCD that is having issues with the picture. Didn’t buy it around here, so no one except a company called ABC Electronics will take a look at it. Their site shows hundreds of great reviews, but looking at yahoo and google reviews I’d rather g other places. Already tried calling local stores, but they all refer me to ABC…thought I’d try here to see if anyone knows of a place!
Lifetime service?
too bad your not in buffalo, Marian electronics on rt5 does great work and is fairly priced…
look for united radio there is one in syracuse area
Yeah my Sony broke after a year. I paid more money for what I thought was a good name… I will NEVER buy Sony again. I may try Marion electronics. Where abouts is it?
What about that TV repair place on Scottsville by the railroad tracks?
Rt5 and bigtree in hamburg, every tv I buy I get a 4 or 5 year warranty with it
Is the TV out of warranty? What kind of picture issues are you having? These TV’s are very simple to work on and it almost always better to source the part yourself and just swap it in.
I actually got it used off craigslist about 2 years ago, I know I know. Guy was putting a projector system in his basement and selling this. I had given it to my parents, since I got a LG 55" but just switched it out for them since they live in the ADK’s and no one out there would really deal with it…thought I’d have better luck fixing it out here.
It has these lines in it, they change when the color on the screen changes. Sometimes I start it up and the screen looks good for 1-2 minutes then it goes back to this. My parents actually had a system of turning it on/off for about 20 minutes every 5 minutes then the picture looked OK, except the right side of the screen had what I’d call a really slow refresh rate. and image would stay on the screen for about 30 seconds, just slowly fading out.

Got the picture to show up, darker in the middle and on the right, but the right side seems to have that refreshing issue. It almost looks like a glare n the right side but you can see where it says “ideos” -“videos” and theres some left over picture from what was on the screen from a few seconds ago.

Most likely its going to be a bad T-Con Board or LCD panel,if its a panel its basically scrap. What is the model #? Hopefully the T-con isn’t integrated with the panel.
