Learning to Snowboard

Do not do this. HV is VERY strict and views an act like that as stealing their services. I know of one instant where a guy lost his ticket but had the receipt for the purchase. They treated him badly and made him watch a movie about stealing. Said if he didn’t have the receipt on him they probably would have pressed charges.

I used to work at HV and the lift attendants would have a competition to see who could catch the most people with out lift tickets or with stolen/fake ones. If caught you have to pay for a whole season pass…

how can they make you pay for a whole season pass? if u get caught cant you just say you dont have any money and dont own a credit card?

its theft of services. there is nothing you can do to prove you havent been doing it the whole season. if you cant pay you get charges pressed if not both.

ahh ya that makes sence

Does make sense. I am interested in the psychology of people and how they think stealing is fine on certain situations when they wouldn’t in others. There are certain places/things that people convince themselves it really isn’t stealing, even if they normally never would.

Yea, I had one lift attendant FREAK out on me.

I was getting on the lift with one of the Ski-Patrol guys. Had been there all day on an 8-hour ticket; and was just continuing to ride with my night season pass.

Well he saw the 8-hour ticket had expired cuz it was like 6:30 and started freaking out going you can’t ride, and getting really pissy. My Season pass is hanging from the SAME ZIPPER!! I’m like uhm, no… I can ride any night I want… pointing at my season pass… and he continued to freak out and say I couldn’t until I’m like DUDE, SEASON NIGHT PASS!!! I had to basically yell at him that I had a season pass. The Ski Patrol guy is just like WTF at this lift guy.

oh, and so everyone understands; the Season Passes are the size of a credit card, plastic, and either bright blue or bright red and hang lower than a lift-ticket. They’re pretty obvious to see.

I think there are like two people on kissing bridges’ ski school that can actually ski, and maybe like 4 that can actually turn a snowboard correctly. They all fucking suck, plus the women that run that haggard ski school are all a bunch of c u next tuesdays’. I use to coach there years ago, then they pretty much disassembled the race program. Great place to ski, I doubt I’d ever teach there ever again.
