Leaving NY?

to converse your statement, what is disappointment if there is no such thing as joy? maybe buffalo sports fans are still into them because they’ve never won a championship.

I guess I have always had a “grass is greener” mentality.

Honestly If I was offered a job with the right pay in the right state/town I would take it in a heart beat. However I think my wife who is much closer to her parents would have a hard time with moving.

All things said I don’t mind Buffalo too much but I am sick of tired of the just utter abuse of money and how we piss away money and never see anything from it. With that in mind I have very well paying job in IT in Buffalo but what makes me discouraged is I really think I have hit somewhat of a limit on what I can make here and I only just turned 30. I know could make a lot more elsewhere.

Texas does sound more and more appealing to me. Florida I am still meh on after almost relocated to South Florida, but I was in Fort Lauderdale and Miami area mostly I heard Lakeland, Orlando and Tampa are tits.

I meant in regards to everything Buffalo but :rimshot:

But still, id kill to be sports conscience during our 4 superbowl seasons. Maybe im just ok with settling then :gotme:

BINGO … you hit the nail right on the head!

im not as close to my family as i would like to be, so they arent stopping me from leaving.

the only thing thats stopping me is work. if i was offered a job in florida or NC, then i would take it in a heart beat.

i hate new york. the weather always sucks, there is nothing to do, and the state sucks at life when it comes to driving a modded car for your DD.

your car looks pretty goth there.

Youre F’in crazy! I almost cry when I think about my garaged bike while I’m navigating through a slushy side street. I took up snowboarding to help fight the depression but it hardly compares.

If I get another ticket for tinted windows merging onto the 290 during another state trooper “save our jobs fundraiser” I think I will snap.

I believe the grass is greener on the other side. Just look at the stats. Numbers don’t lie.

i probably won’t leave for another 5 years :meh:

5 year plan woo!

almost forgot how shitty the roads were up there. Nice reminder this past weekend.

FUCK new york I am leaving as soon as I pay off my little debt from school

I heard the other day that 280k poeple left NYS last year, ouch. I smell another tax hike to make up for it!?

I’m in raleigh right now. In carolina trace in sanford, specifically. NC sucks, the people here suck, it still snows in the winter, it’s 95% hicks and trash, every other car has walmart chrome rims, the drivers are retarded, there’s $60,000 houses in “gated communities,” ugh raleigh is not better than buffalo.

Actually the bars being open till 4 AM was a bit overwhelming for most of them at first, and we really dont stay out that later most of the time. I have never asked them specifically what they liked about Buffalo, but comments I have heard so far

There is so much to do here
There are a ton of really nice people.
Tons of good food, and places to hang out. (although they cannot find any bars to watch games of wherever they are fans from…its all buffalo or NY sports)

There is no doubt the city is not a hot spot for jobs, but those who have found them love the area. And they were affraid of our dreaded winters, but once they got involved in some winter activities, it def. helped make the season more enjoyable.
