I am also conside4ring going baller style. removing wing buying bomex wing and saving for a set of full polish Work DH 20x10 +16 offset and purchasing toyota soarer oem gt-t air suspension. IDK sometimes I love the ridiculous wangan/drift look sometimes i lover the baller/vip look. I think I should just buy a 5spd sc300 make that the drift style car and make the sc400 the baller car.

The wing doesn’t need to be wider. it is wider than the body is now. Taller and it will be perfect and I will gladly pay for materials and beers if you will make me stands. If i went the extra 100mm larger I thing it would just be way to ridiculous and look like a toy. The 1700mm wings are for widebodies not stock bodies.
I think that is the plan though. It makes a lot of sense to pick up a SC300 and transfer the ridiculous stuff to that go 1jz or NA-t have that be a drift/track car and vip the sc400 for daily. I can get a 92or so sc300 5spd for ~ $3000
i think a 2jz tranny can be made to fit with an adapter plate i believe a guy in australia sells it. i havent read up on the sc400’s very much, i see your on club-lexus(prolly not your style thread lol), but also why havent i ever seen this car in person??? its omfg tyte. seriously i need who ever you are we gotta hang out. anyone who bothers with sc’s has to be awesome. i love your car dude wing and everything.
You have actually met me a few times as I am old but good friends with Byron. In the days of his yellow wrx I had my black b18 swapped EG hatchback. A 5spd SC300 has always been my dream car above but for a while i was getting out of car so I bought the SC400 which was minter than mint when I bought it. The SC400 also has bigger breaks and more sweet options.
AS for the v160 transmission swap there are mutiple companies that sell the adapter plate. There is also a CL member who has done it and lives in Kansas. If you do not have your own machine shop it is a very daunting task and even then to do it correctly it would cost nearly $10,000. There are also R154 adapter plate and I here this swap is easier. I have kept up with the two americans doing these swaps and the 1uzfe is a terror with a manual and no parasitic 28% loss in hp and torque. I plan on have the car for a long long time so that swap is coming down the road, first in need perfect wheels and fitment, HKS hipermax 2 dampers, a kaaz 2 way LSD, and the entire IKEYA formula suspension bar & arm catalog.

I would love to be in your car when that happens. Some old dude/bitch thinking he/she is hot shit in her lexus when the exact same car comes up all lowered, rimmed out, kitted, massive wing, stickers galore, and loud exhaust :lol. I bet they go and trade their car in within a week. If there is a sudden surplus of sc400s then we know who to thank.
MY exhaust isnt that loud actually. Thats why I have hesitated to put the 2.5" x pipe on that deletes the third cat. I’ll try to get a video clip of the sound that or I think I’ll go to Otooles for some drinks saturday night so I’ll be down that way if anyone wants to chill.
Oh and spacers in the front cause in the back I am going to move to a 265/40 and then if that fits fine I’m going to try a 275/40. The 275/40 would be flush but idk if it would camber in enough to clear when the shock compresses. I do not want to pull my fenders cause it generally looks like shit on SC (extremely thick, easily wrinkled quarterpanels) and I am buying a bomex wing and extra trunk lid so I can go between the wagan star look and the baller as shit look (with the DH’s)
