Let the Bears pay the Bear Tax....I pay the Homer Tax.

only most of the time

TIL: how much money fry makes…

lol I better double check my math. Though I’m not sure if I’d rather people think I make more or less than I do.

…nope, I was off by a bit. I may be more or less baller than I appear.

BUT IT’S SO CHEAP LIVING IN BUFFALO!!!

:rimshot:…LOL

My property taxes went up as well. I’m less scorn about that.

There’s so much wrong it’s difficult to talk about. But the biggest contributing factor is the lack of cuts. We can’t have our cake and eat it too…with the debt we are in as a country we have to either pay up or just go ahead and default on our loans (as a government).

Agreed… I get a pay raise and my health insurance rates go down… but my paycheck still goes down! WTF???

Make more money

If you want to believe we are in a down economy forever then sure you have to cut, but spending is what puts money on the street and makes the economy grow so you don’t really want to cut back as it would worsen the situation. We don’t have to pay up because our economy is the global standard, we could play this game for a long long time, not that it’s a good idea to view it this way.

Funny coincidence, this day in 1835 was the first and only time the US paid off its debt in its entire history.

I’m already paying 37.65% of every dollar I make now… I’ll still be loosing that much until it bumps to 40.65%! (progressiveness not included; just the top rate).

if you’re paying a true effective rate of 37% then you’re doing something seriously wrong with your money management.

I didn’t say effective; see the ending statement at the end of what I wrote.

My effective overall tax rate is down about 10%.

only the effective rate really matters, right?

I’m trying to…

They paid it off without the rich paying ANY personal income tax? Unpossible!

Well… they did it by forcing Indians off their lands and selling them off in a huge real estate bubble that led to the longest depression in our country’s history, but yeah they paid them off without an income tax.

Indians. Even when it was the Bears I knew it was them…

Slurpee or Casino?

Chicago or Bad News?
