Do you think it is inhumane? Do you favor or oppose it?
they dont feel anything although the reason i oppose it is it costs the taxpayers more than if they were to let the criminals rot in jail at least as of 5 years ago one of the only things i learned in class in high school
Well, do you want to debate lethal injection as method of death penalty, or the death penalty itself?
While I support the death penalty, I don’t like the reports coming out that show the condemned person may be concious when the 2nd drug stops the muscles (including the lungs). Regardless of how evil a person is, the system has failed if the means of death is suffocation while paralyzed.
But, right from the mouth of the guy who invented lethal injection, it’s a simple matter of changing the drugs.

Or, the suggestions at the end of CO poisoning or bringing back the guillotine. As we saw in the October storm it’s very easy and painless to die of CO poisoning. And for a gruesome as the guillotine seams, it’s a very quick and efficient way of killing someone.
not at all.
now in other cultures the death sentences are like being beheaded, hanged, stoned, etc. those the things that are inhumane. we have a nice death sentence. life sentence is more inhumane than lethal injection IMO.
There has been controversy regarding lethal injection such as the person being put down painfully suffocating or spasming. It is by no means a flawless and painless process IMO.
I agree with any kind of capital punishment,
of course it can’t be much worse than the chair… sometimes takes a two times to kill them
oppose… and i completely oppose the death penalty as well.
What I don’t understand is in a world where humans have become so good at killing each other that we can’t come up a truely humane way to kill someone.
The electric chair seemed like a good idea, but then people started catching on fire, needing multiple zaps etc.
Hanging was great, unless the rope was too short and you dangled and suffocated. Or too long and it popped your head clean off. Just right the neck snapped, instant numbness and death.
Firing squad certainly isn’t instant or painless.
Gas chamber, while the condemned holds their breath until the last possible second seems cruel and unusual.
Lethal injection is probably the best bet, but it may need to be adjusted to take advantage of better killing drugs.
Gunshot to the brainstem. Instant death

That’s the most humane solution offered thus far, gruesome as it seems. Doesn’t your brain stay in-tact in a beheading? Meaning that your brain stays alive and you stay conscious until your brain dies from lack of oxygen from lack of bloodflow?
Yeah, something where you’re instantly dead or painlessly unconscious first would be ideal.
murder cases should have the inmate (murderer) die just like the murderee
murder 1 for strangling = death row asshole died of strangling
any crimes against children = instant dismemberment
eye for an eye? LOL
^ while fun to think about, lowering your judicial system to their level is not a good plan.
If we can have operations every minute of every day in this country where doctors crack open people’s rib cages, cut off limbs, even open up the skull… there has to be a way to knock a condemned person out so that they don’t feel the heart stopping drug.

strap a bomb to them and blow it up.
EDIT: and who give a fuck if they are humane or no. I highly doubt they took that into consideration when they killed someone

hm. this is one thing we will never know :snky:
Probably just an Urban Legend, but I think I remember reading stories about how they could actually pick up the head and get it to blink in recognition of its name back in the good old days of guillotines… Something like that anyways…

fuck yea… man commits rape… air lift him in the San Fran, during a gay pride parade… that’ll teach him
^ what about those wrongfully accused? You know well our Judicial system is less than perfect.
