Lets chat about the Ford GT

Get up close to one. The craftsmanship is 100% Ford and if it’s going to be worth $100k+, it better have the fit and finish of the other $100k+ cars. Making a low-slung monocoque and added a blown F150 motor does not a supercar make TO ME. Keywords, TO ME. The C6 Vettes are more sophisticated than FGTs and cheaper too.

And the bottom end being capable of 1000bhp stock just means its more ham-fisted American lazy ‘engineering’. If it can take all that power, that means they could’ve designed it to make the stock 550hp (or whatever) and be significantly lighter, higher revving, etc. Just like…Supras! :eek Which is just dandy in $35k cars sold to John Everyman, but it’s pretty weak in America’s flagship supercar that’s supposed to compete with Ferrari.

My uncles buddy had a GT. The craftsmenship is not very good. Then again its not falling apart 10 miles in the zr1. Think about it, its a ford. When ford was building astons and jags they sucked miserably. Now take a look at the xkr (designed by astons designer), and the new AMv8, AMv12, and DBS. All hand built works of art.
