Agreed on being unnecessary, but no reason to rip it apart as the stock engine with cams is stout enough to make 1000HP, esp for a car that’s not ran at the track on full kill.

Agreed, need to build her past 850wheel though. All I need is to change to a 71mm, throw some injectors/AEM in there. This year I just plan on getting used to and driving the car gremlin free. She appears to be running really well right now.

Ford GT price is production numbers for sure, as the engine/chassis is not any more impressive than a ZO6, and behind a ZR1.

The Zr1 is s ome years newer. id really like to see Ford pump out a 2011GT with the way theyve been going it would be insaaane!

yeah i agree with you guys on that a 2011 GT with a hairdrier would be SICK. But the GT actually is a bit behind the zr1 when it comes to drivetrain parts, arguably the motor as well.

I am an all american kind of guy. Imo the ford gt is the top of the top cars and its american. Granted europe has made so many awesome supercars but they just arent for me. That car screams awesome, highend but not like a gallardo or anything else. This is something you can get your hands dirty with. It is by far my favorite supercar.

To me, I could give a fuck how many C6Z’s were made vs Turbo Supras. I really don’t care. I would still take a C6Z any day of the week over a Supra/GT500 even a Ford GT w/ cash on the side. Totally agreed on ALL counts. There is a reason that I’ve owned 3 Supras, a Viper…and am currently driving what I am now.

Lets make a few assumptions.

  1. The car’s aero is the same, and its the same type of car
  2. The top speed was LIMITED by the drag and not the distance. (probably not true)

Since the required power is proportional the the cube of the velocity, to go from 230 to 266.9 mph would require

56.2% more power.

Interior does not make a car “better” but it would sway someone to buy it. Not really sure why the tone of your post is so offensive either. I was judging the production number argument on resale value.
