Lets talk roadsters. Specifically Z4M roadsters.

Shots fired. lol

I was looking at Elise’s. I wouldn’t want to DD one in the summer.

No competitive driving whatsoever. I’ll probably never take the thing over 5,000 RPM.

I don’t really have a preference except that I can find an M roadster a lot easier than an S2000. (And I know enough about the S2000 to buy one. I don’t know a whole lot about anything BMW.)

Fixed for you.

 i guess the little roadster is a much better way to flash the rolley.

The S2K is a pretty boring car if you’re not above 5k

I still think for what you’re trying to do Z4M is a better choice…If you were going to autox or be a street hero S2K might be a better choice.

Not really, I’ve been looking hard for another one. A decent Elise is low-mid 30’s now, unless you’re looking at one with a rebuilt title. The prices are climbing.

When I have two on each wrist, it’s hard to not flash them regardless of what I’m driving. <3

Yeah, screw it then if you aren’t trying to put the thing on a track. If you like the M roadster then neat, get that. I don’t love them because I don’t love the weight but I also haven’t driven one and the weight hardly matters as a DD so I really should put my money where my mouth is.

I thought I was cool wearing my one Rolly. Clearly, I’m doing it wrong.

For sure, if you’re looking for a low miles non-tracked one. I don’t really care about miles or track time on an Elise because I’d point the shit out of the thing on a track. I have found a few clean title ones sub-$26k lately but they’re all quite high in miles.

I haven’t owned that car in YEARS. Is that still my sig? I don’t have sigs turned on.

My toy has a push rod chevy V8, so technically I’m still one of the cool kids. But, it doesn’t have wheels, so maybe not.

awesome

Definitely Z4 if this is the case.

If you’re honestly thinking about an S2k to never take above 5k get a Miata, and a vagina.

He’d be better off getting a Volkswagen, after all, he knows a guy who knows a guy.

You won’t but if you were really concerned with reliability and resale C6 z06

How significant is the price difference between the two in similar condition?

So which is the best car to not drive, and when driven not driven hard?

Why not just a regular Z4 then?

Within a thousand or so. I can find an 07 S2000 with 30k for $21-$23k - You can find an 07 M Roadster for the same amount but you’re looking at 50k miles.

No brainer then buy the M

For as much as I love and want an S2k, I think I support the M in this scenario.

GL

So then let’s be realistic. How long term is this car going to be? I can’t see how reliability should even come into the question given the frequency of it being driven and how hard it will be driven.

Can’t believe it took this long for someone to suggest a Miata :oj:

edit- Is the S2K coming back??

To your point; yes it still shows the Mazda and yes your sig is visible.

Well this is the answer because it is much faster than all other mentioned in this thread under 5K RPM.
