So I was running around the back streets, and then all of a sudden I lost all my parking lights, the only lights i have still are my head light’s, break lights, and turn single, and every time I put a new fuse in it just keeps poping it. I know there is a short some were, but when i look at all the wires that I can see, nothing is wrong with them. Thanks for your help.
When you put in a fresh fuse, I noticed it does turn the rear lights for a second before frying it…
First thing we could try is to unplug both rear light harnesses - not just light bulbs (in case it shorts somewhere there) plug in the fuse and turn on the lights…
fuse blows? problem is likely elsewhere.
fuse doesn’t blow - the short is somewhere in the rear lights (since there is no short to the ground without the harness being plugged in).
At least we’ll eliminate the rest of the wiring this way and if it still blows then we know it’s up at the front…
p.s. maybe that rabbit got pissed off and hopped onto wiring after getting a nuggie with a sway bar…
Check under the right side inner fender liner. These things tend to droop, then when you rub through the plastc liner, the wires are right behind it and are next in line for a rubbin’
Search for a thread on that here, it was just discussed in great detail.
The inner fender is still fine, but i will check out the wiring under there.
i was the one who got pwned with the wires rubbing… now my car is still somewhat fucked from it… weird buzzing sound, headlights still won;'t come down, stalls out sometimes,
good luck
Got it fixed, all it was, is that my inner left tail light is getting water in it, and it coroaded it, works fine now, thanks guys
P.S. Got to love working at a shop
