does anyone know about either of these two places? they are not to far from pittsburgh and i never hear anyone talk about them…
I’ve seen some photos of little blue run and and it looks like it would be fascinating to see in person. I’m curious as to if anyone knows how accessible the lake it to take a few decent photos…
also ambridge reservoir looks like a nice quiet place. I’ve noticed there is a nice church and cemetery with some land on the lake which would likely be a cool spot to see the lake from… I’ve heard that the lake is restricted property and nobody is allowed to fish or boat on the lake… google maps says it’s beaver county parks property which would let me assume otherwise. I also see what looks like a 4x4 trail just east of the church… Is this lake accessible and fishable?
any infomation on either of the two locations would be helpful. I really would like to learn more about these spots.
I know that little blue run is polluted to hell and back and did some research on possible healthy side-effects of visiting such a place a few weeks ago… I’m more or less just interested in stopping by for a photo or two and continuing on my way.
I’ve seen little blue run when I used to fly planes out of beaver. It’s a pretty cool feature when everything around it is so green. Did a little googling and it sounds like Little Blue run isn’t that blue anymore.
the reason it’s so blue is because they add large amounts of sodium hypochlorite to the water. It is a disinfectant, and they use the basin to antibacterialize Shaggy’s mother on a weekly basis.
