Looking to have a stock flywheel lightened, balanced & resurfaced
Stock flywheel specs : single mass, steel, ~23lbs
Final weight goal of ~14-18lbs
Does anyone have a recommendation as to a shop that performs this service?
HUNT’S in Schenectady should be able to do it for you.
bring it to me, I’ll drill some holes in it for you, hit it with a die grinder and a cookie, and balance it on w/e object you want.

hunts might be able to do it, but i know they couldnt do my flywheel because the pilot bearing hole was too small, they didnt have the tooling for it, not sure what you are working with though.
When several shops told me my stock Audi flywheel couldn’t be resurfaced, hunts did it. They also balanced my fidanza. As far as lightening I’m not sure, but they’d be the first place I’d try.
HUNTS! just had my block bored, and rotating assembly balanced by them. LOVE IT!
