"The Allegheny County Coroner’s Office has released the identify of the man killed in the lobby of Loews Cineplex movie theater in the Waterfront last night.
Shelton Flowers, 30, of Wilkinsburg died after being shot several times near the concession stand of the West Homestead theater. Three men fled after the shooting, according to West Homestead police.
Mr. Flowers was taken to UPMC Presbyterian, where he died."
Yea, the waterfront is turning out to be worthless. I dont think i will ever set foot into Loews, i go to the South Side Works movie theater now (so much nicer, not run down like Loews is now)
where i live is irrelevent if i drove all the way to loews i’d drive just as far to the south side but i choose to go to the mills which is 15m from pitts.
it isn’t the best location…but its probably one of the most popular places to shop in Pgh area…its probably just as popular as any “mall” in Pgh.
2 main reasons…its close to a lot high populated areas that don’t have a close mall . & it has eveything(shopping, eating, entertainment) in a close vicinity.
for college students, & others who don’t have cars Its easier to walk around the waterfront then to walk up & down mcknight rd, 22 in monroeville, or the centuryIII area.
