Look what we can do!.....

That is exactly where that platform shines in regards to performance. Some such as bobbyt seem to think it’s much more than it is. We have retards on 3SI that think AWD is king of the street. They learn the hard way though. :frowning:

In consumer reports Mitsubishi and Volkswagen are at the bottom when it comes to reliability.Honda is at the top in reliability!!so keep talking shit that Honda’s suck at least when I turn the key I know my car will start :crackup

But YouTube said Mitsubishi and VW was reliable. :confused

Reliability is not something people usually use as a purchasing point when buying a sports car. They want power, style, and in some cases, rarity. Lamborghini, reliable, hell no. Same for Ferarri, Aston Martin, Bugatti, etc etc.

If you are arguing that an S2000 is more reliable than a 3000GT? Then you would in most cases be right. But if you want to argue about pretty much anything else, stock for stock, you would have a VERY difficult time.

The problem with consumer reports and other reliability tests is that the term reliability is not very well defined.

There’s a distinct difference between 10 issues on the Car A ranging from blown motors/trannys to 100 issues on Car B ranging from the seat gets loose/radio button falls off.

I think you are missing the point. It’s not that hondas suck, it’s that you suck. And you driving a honda makes it suck, even the godly s2k.

^ Well said…

It’s completely stock internals…literally threw a turbo and components on and ran it.

im to tempted to get a manifold from synapse and make my car turbo, but im not gonna

damn thats ntus, too bad it would take 30K+ to build one like that

You could do it for 15k no problem.

Bluff, K20 swap 6-10, purchase of car, 7-10 on turbo/parts/tuning, paint, interior

who needs paint or an interior? thats just extra weight :lol

Who says you need top notch stuff? who says you need to paint it? Do the swap yourself to save money on labor…you can get a K20 for 3500(average price that i see), buy a shell for 1k, turbo components - 5k(est.), K-pro 1k, then you can still paint it yourself for a couple hundred.

There’s $10,5xx…still money for mounts($500), paint, “interior”, cage, slicks…and that will come to about 15k

To replicate the car that you posted…yea you can build a beater for cheaper…

Paintjobs typically are more than a few hundred…last car i did was 9600…

not a beater at all, just do your own thing and do it yourself. Trust me, no where’s near 30k :wtf :confused

Like i said, to build a car of the caliber of the one you posted your looking at 30K. Paint alone on that would have been 5K+, lot of $ tied up in that thing. The clamps on the car are $400 a pop…

:stfu We told you that last night. :lol

Still not 30k to build that car.

I knew of those clamps, remember i have a few years on ya… Talk to brett, he also thinks to build the car that you posted would be upwards of 30K.
(Everything not spot on but close)
Car-$2000(+/-)
K20&trans-$5000(+ lol)
Parts needed to convert-$$$
Turbo Kit/performance parts-$6000+
Tuning-$1000
Paint-$5000+
Cage-$1000
Wheels/Tires-$1000(+/-)
Fuel system etc…
Like i said when you look at the grand scheme of things…shit adds up, most people dont take into account all the litte things that nickle and dime ya to death…building a car isnt easy nor cheap.

Its very easy to say that its easy/cheap to build a car when you got the deal of a lifetime on yours. Not everyone has your connections…
